Good "Non-Fullscreen" Games?

So basically, I want something to play without entering fullscreen. For just when I want to quickly fire it up, or when I'm watching a movie (I use VLC, so it's really easy to just shove it inot a corner). Preferably nothing browser based, unless it's really good. Games that have the option to put in a resizable window, and aren't too hard on processing are welcome. Mostly I'm looking for free downloadable games.
Anyway, advice?

Well if you like strategy games you could try Supremacy 1914, it's a browser game but it won the title best browser game of the year last year,(I don't know about this year).

You only really have to manage it for a bit once a day or so,(until you get far into it then the real fun begins).

You can usually change the settings in most games to not run in fullscreen...

Regardless, why not get DOSBOX?

Peggle is your friend.

Alt+Enter is your friend. Its the Keyboard shortcut to quickly switch between Full Screen and Windowed mode in games.
