Good 'party' songs

Hey. Now summer's here I'm going to be spending a lot of time chilling with mates and there'll probably be an accoustic guitar hanging around. I play so that's no problem. The thing is I like to be that guy that shows off and plays and sings, however I don't know too many songs (being more into hard rock and jazz). So I wondered if anyone knew any good songs to play? I've got things like Tom Petty and Dylan and Bon Jovi, but suggestions would be helpful, cheers!

OK, if I read this correctly you kind of want to have all eyes on you, right? Be the center of attention? That's OK, if you do it the right way. And the right way is very simple, play songs that everybody knows and can sing along to. Bon Jovi is a good start, is there anyone that doesn't know at least the chorus to Livin' On A Prayer or Wanted Dead Or Alive?

But one that's sure to get everybody going, even though most people only knows the chorus and when to clap, you can't go wrong with Wild Rover:

You haven't partied until you've partied with 75 drunk and stoned tree planters, partying for the last night of the planting season after 2 months of living in the bush, crapping in overfilling latrines, battling black flies, running from bears and moose, and having been without consistent cell service for 2 months, and everyone is singing "Home for a Rest".
