Hey I just finished beating all my PC games at once except Sims 3 and Minecraft but they can't be beat so whatever. Now I am stuck on what to get next I already plan to get the Witcher 2 when I have the cash and know for certain that my laptop can handle it but I wanted something else maybe something that wont push my laptop to its edge. Outside Sims I also have Dragon age 1 and 2, Starcraft 2 (plan to get the expo when its out) Civ 4, Morrowind, Mass Effect 2, and a few other things.
I like games that can be modded and for the most part I like RTS or RPG I know about the other obvious games like Oblivion, and Starcraft, Mass Effect 1 aren't on the list but I have played them too.

Anyway can anyone suggest a computer game or two to try out?

...le Diablo? I'd be shocked if you have Starcraft and didn't also pick up Blizzard's other gem series.

Go to GOG buy the best isometric CRPGs ever made the Baldur's Gate Trilogy and Planescape: Torment. Maybe check-out the Fallouts and Arcanum. If you are interested in Beyond Good and Evil, or Psychonauts they have them here DRM free too.

Go to Steam and buy Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines and X-Com: UFO Defense.

I'd say System Shock 2 but it is a ***** to find and tricky to get running on a modern system.

I'm not a huge RTS fan but I've had some fun with Company of Heroes and Dawn of War: Dark Reign.

KotOR is under $3 on steam right now; if you like RPGs and haven't played it, do yourself a favor and buy it now. Other than that, I'd need a better list of what you've played to give better input.

I'd say Neverwinter Nights 2 if you can put up with more then your fair share of bugs and other problems.

Empires: Dawn of the Modern World is a really good RTS game. If you can find it.

Well there's a few old classics available on GOG a few games I always recommend are:
Fallout 1 and 2
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2
Planescape: Torment
Arx Fatalis
Giants: Citizen Kabuto
And, a few great games you can pick up on Steam with their current sale:
Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines
The Last Remnant
Magicka
Drakensang The River Of Time
Dungeons

Unfortunately, most of the RPG's I have that aren't a complete drain on a typical laptop's processor have already been mentioned/you've played (KotOR I & II, Fallout). Oh, Deus Ex? You must've played that... if not, get and play asap.

Still, for strat games, you can check out the early titles from the Total War series (not really RTS, it's hybrid TBS/RTT), and Dawn of War, the first set of four (Soulstorm gets a bit of flak around here, but it's OK, even if they did nerf some of the races).

My personal fave RTS is Dawn of War. Get the complete edition for 9 races, then there are 3 full race mods for Soulstorm (Steel Legion, Tyranids, Daemonhunters) that can be combined for a total of 12. You can customize your armies and there are a crap load of maps for it, and an infinite number of custom ones (the community map packs on DOW files are great.)

The Total War series is a great TBS/RTS hybrid. It has the global campaign style of Civ, but the actual battles are something out of an epic. There are loads of mods for them too, for Rome for example there are mods for Lord of the Rings, Medieval, Napoleonic and more.

Homeworld 2 is a fantastic space RTS, and there are some great mods for it. Two of my personal favorites being the Battlestar Galactica mod and Star Wars: Warlords.

The Total War games. Rome being my personal favourite. MEdieval II is also incredible.
All of them are really good though.

The great thing about Morrowind and Civ4 (my personal favorite of the Civs) is the vast and honestly rather intimidating library of mods. If you've gotten bored of the vanilla gameplay, you owe it to yourself and to future generations to try out a few nice big Total Conversions.
For Civ4, Realism:Invictus is easily one of (if not THE) best mods out there.
Also, Oblivion. You get a better combat system than Morrowind, and even more mods!
Mods!

As others have said if you're fairly new to PC gaming, browsing through GOG and seeing what's highly rated and of interest to you is a great idea. Just because they're older doesn't make em any less fun if you're experiencing them for the first time and some, such as Freespace 2, Neverwinter Nights and the Baldur's Gate series have a backlog of years worth of mods to explore and enjoy.

If you're looking for something slightly more recent, hmm... rpg ish, bit actiony. Mount & Blade: Warband might be worth looking into. It's a bit of an required taste since it's more of an open-ended experience than many people are used to or, for that matter, enjoy. Think Sid Meier's Pirates if you're familiar with it. But the combat is damned solid, incredibly so, the rpg mechanics are fun to play around with, and there are so many mods available for the game that you're sure to find something to suit your tastes.

Beyond that, hmm...

If you enjoy the Civ series as well as Starcraft 2, then you should look into the Total War series as well. Medieval 2: Total War is my personal favourite of the series but they're all solid and if you want the Japanese vibe I hear Shogun 2 is one of their best releases to date, looks absolutely stunning as well. The TW series is like a mix of Civ style grand strategy and the biggest real time strategy in the gaming industry. I'm talking hundreds, if no thousands of units at a time. It's glorious. And again there's an active modding community as well. Medieval 2 in particular has total conversion for Warhammer 40k, Lord of the Rings, and a whole slew of other setting not to mention mods like Stainless Steel (My personal favourite of the mods) which don't change the setting but just improve the game in a number of ways.

Worth looking into.

If you wanna do some shooty-explody stuff Crysis: Warhead should be worth a peek too, if only because you're interested in mods and Mechwarrior: Living Legends is easily one of the best mods to date. Turning Crysis into an incredibly good looking and fun to play Mechwarrior multiplayer game.

Deus Ex is a hybrid first person shooter, rpg and stealth game. Most of the situations in the game you can approach in multiple ways. The graphics suck compared to today's games but Deus Ex is still better than most of the games that have come out. It is probably one of the best games to be ever made. They are also making a prequel that is coming out on August 23 so may as well play the first one that came out so you can play it before the prettier graphics of the later game spoil you.

Planescape: Torment, Arcanum, Fallout, and Fallout 2, are all excellent RPGs,

You can also get the first Witcher if you haven't played that. Not as good as the previous games I mentioned in this post but still much better than most games and also may as well play it before you play the sequel.
