Firstly; hi ! I've been a member od the escapist for a while, but very inactive on the forums, so I'm gonna try and change that !

Now on to my post;

So often it seems that a game is ported from one system to another and there has been a compromise or a certain lack of quality due to hardware limitations, developer's lack of familiarity with the hardware itself or a plethora of reasons. The initial state of dark souls one for pc or shadow of mordor for ps3 would be two examples that come to mind.
However, recently due to a lack of pc, I bought the orange box for ps3. I had heard worrying things, but it was only ?4 so I figured i'd give it a shot as I was in the mood to replay HL2. After a patch installed I was surprised to find that all the HL episodes worked really well, and tf2 still has a decent amount of people playing the game close enough to its vanilla state. There was some occasional fuzziness with the audio, bit nothing that detracted heavily from the overall experience. So I ask you escapists; when has there been a port of a game that surprised you with its overall playability, quality or any other positive ?

They added the Separate Ways mini-game on the PS2 version (you play as Ada through 5 missions that fill in the gaps of the main campaign). Apparently the number of enemies was decreased but the AI was augmented to counter lack of quantity. There's an extra unlockable weapon, the PRL. And the knife's power was doubled for the PS2 port, for no adequately explained reason.

This was also for the PC and Wii ports as well.
