In a bid to both improve my motivation and improve my very limited capacity for music I'd really like to get as many suggestions on good running/exercise songs as possible :).

So if you have any ideas that you think are worth a listen go crazy.

I'd be especially interested in hearing what kinda playlists other people have for when they exercise, if it's too long to post a list in thread just give me a PM instead :D thanks in advance.

This, and the rest of the soundtrack are excellent.
It is a movie where the heroine spends about two thirds of the movie running.

I don't run, but I cycle. I tend to go with things that have a driving beat, something that I can peddle to the rhythm of. Daft Punk is pretty good, and pretty much any synth song from the 80s.

I also particularly enjoy Scissor Sisters, their first album in particular.

I listen to mainly instrumental Hip Hop during exercise, something like:

<youtube=kFs03oAx9ME>

I find if the songs too fast it's kinda distracting, but that's just me. I do also listen to Hip Hop with lyrics but, like instrumental, I like it calm. For example:

Might not work for you, but it does for me. There are a ton of artists like that so if you want to know of any more, lemme know.

Run For the Hills... sorry I had to. Wherever I May Roam by Metallica maybe. Pussy by Rammstein, lyrics are odd as usual but the song has the driving sound you are probably looking for (PS don't watch the unedited version of the clip if you are somewhere public). Links 234 by Rammstein would be good too (the clip on that one is awesome). Something from Static-X would probably be good as well, Stingwray maybe. No idea what the singer is saying though in that song, The Only might be a better choice if you want clearer vocals.

I run to LCD Soundsystem more than anything. They actually have an album (45:33) that was created to be an album for running and working out (and it was sponsored by Nike). It's really good for that purpose, with a steady beat with music that morphs around it.

But their main albums are good for running also.

Honestly, I always found Dragonforce to be good running music. Its fastpaced and upbeat enough to keep you going. Plus, if you don't like it, you can pretend you're running away from it!

But if you want good music to run to, I would also recommend Sonata Arctica. They always help me too. When it comes to running, power metal is what does it.

Ecstasy of Gold by Sergio Morricone. No better music to run to, especially if you are running in Sad hill cemetery.

Well I tend to enjopy more aggressive (if toungue in cheeck) music for when I run.
continious fast tempo, motivating melody. rigourious outro. This is the ideal running song for me.

I run to this all the time it they have good beats to run to. If you zone out and just run to the beat to these songs it is really nice.

Whenever I hear this, I want to run around screaming "GO GO POWER RANGERS!" So it might work for you.
