What are some shows you liked that werent on the air for too long?

Young Ones
ever see that show
I love the young ones. My favorites are the party episode and the episode where they go to the bar where Madness plays a song.

I would also have to add Arrested Development; probably one of the best sitcoms ever.

Also my personal favorite tv show of all time (besides the original Twilight Zone) Cowboy Bebop; although that series didn't need to be longer; it's perfect the way it is.

SWAT Kats (The Radical Squadron)
Holy cow... i remeber this how old is this anyhow?
1993-1995 more or less. Way too damn short. Ted Turner openly condemned it as being too violent so they dumped it during the merge...

Rocko's Modern Life
Roughneck Chronicles
Oh jeez, Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles... That show got screwed in every orifice. It aired at friggin 4 or 5am, on a supposed kids block on Sci Fi channel (SyFy or whatever can suck my toe), when it was really too mature for kids, and adults balked at watching cuz on account of cartoons is for childrens. *rolls eyes* Then the networks would rotate it in the wrong order and show the same five eps over and over and over, killing off the few remaining fans' interest...

Seriously, that series friggin rocked, and was treated like crap... It's probably got more scars than any of the others listed on here.

I've read the script for the unfinished final arc and it was gonna be wicked awesome. And that was just season finale; the writers had many many more planned too...

Road Rovers =/

The evil FCC (or was it FCQ?) put an end to it because the series wasn't 'educational'

Stupid FCC.

Does anyone know what happened to the plan of making new Futurama? there was the thing about fox and comedy central and then fox apparently wanted to fire all the voice actors, haven't heard anything since then.

Megas XLR and Samurai Jack.

They had good runs, actually, but neither one got the time they deserved.
amen, brother!

Was going to say Samurai Jack myself, but then again, what sticks around on Cartoon Network that was good?.....

Let's see... Megas XLR and Samurai Jack have already been mentioned... how about Invader Zim, Freakazoid, Histeria, Swat Kats: the Radical Squadron, Class of 3000, Super Robot Monky Team Hyper Force Go, Sam and Max... Heck, here's a list of good shows cancelled before their time: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TooGoodToLast

You'll notice that all of these are cartoons. I, for one, can't stand it when reality screws with the stuff I //LIKE//.

Fawlty Towers and Blackadder both took the 'less is more' approach to making a great show. Their comedy value really never fades no matter how much you watch it.

More recently, though, I can name a few: Sugar Rush, Hex could have been really good if the main character hadn't legged it after the first season, Popular was the only good teen show on in my lifetime because it was funny as hell, Enterprise, Arrested Development, Firefly, Wonderfalls.

Sure Futurama lasted for six season, but it wasn't enough. Enough is never enough when you're watching Futurama.

Good news, everyone! "On June 9, 2009, 20th Century Fox announced that Comedy Central had picked up the show for 26 new half-hour episodes that will begin airing in mid-2010."

On Topic: Reaper. Only 2 seasons...

I'm gonna go with the Terminator show. Sure it wasn't amazing, but I always found it entertaining, and near the end of the last season I thought it got really good. *shrug*

I hate Fox.
