So I'm looking for a free/very cheap game (preferably on the PC) that is super laid back and super casual but that is alot of fun and engaging. Any ideas?

Awesome game.
Damn, beat me to it.

I second this. Bought the game a few months ago and am still playing it long after I beat the campaign.

Dawn of War: Dark Crusade killed a lot of time for me, I sunk over 65 hours into it...

Borderlands.

Very chill, very relaxing, and you can get a PC copy for only like $10-$15.

Saints row 2, I completed it about a year ago, but I keep going back for the giggles:

it's simple to play, but infuriatingly hard to play WELL,but this gives it some entertaining moments.

There's Killing Floor on Steam. It's a multiplayer fps where you kill increasingly difficult waves of zombies. No backstory, no campaign missions, no cutscenes, just click a server and start shooting. You can jump in during the middle of a game and leave two waves later if you want. Only 10 dollars or something too.
