It's great! Really funny! I found a random Dragon in Somerset! Been meaning to have a bigger look soon! Anyone found anything good to share?

Dragon

Mage...!? Ghost...? Thing?
Those are both monsters from the GBC version of Dragon Quest I and II, just like the tiles. I wonder if there's some anniversary today or something?

That would be the Louvre.

The little guy on the left hand side above the zoom tool is one of the characters in Ultima Exodus for the NES.

Hate to tell ya but that is the loch ness monster

The first thing I did when I saw this was zooming into inrverness, then following the ness river into the loch.

Lo and behold, nessie :)

There's apparently a boss monster about ten miles east of Scranton.

I wonder how that's going to affect traffic.
Shouldn't be too bad if morning commuters remember to pack their Holy Sword that does +12 to the Undead. I wonder how much EXP I can get for slaying the Scranton Skeleton.

I found a stone golem thing just South of Boynes (in France). And they've got the Eiffel tower and but not Versailles

There's another one hanging around south of DC. He doesn't have a sword or anything though, so I guess he's not a boss.

Also a panda apparently lives in the smithsonian castle in DC. And there's some indistinguishable statue next to the river as well

There's a couple kids in beanies near Cairo. Silly tourists. And a fish boss further east of Scranton. We need Godzilla!

There a ghost/black mage between North Weald Basset and Chipping Ongar and a dragon just outside Masburg

Edit: and another golem type thing between Gocherberg and Goch

Awesome, coolest thing I've seen all week.

Too bad it will only last for April Fool's Day only. Or so I think.

Go to Tokyo and zoom in a few times, you'll find a metal slime southeast of the marker. Try as I might, this seems to be the most interesting thing I can find. I looked for Big Foot, King Kong, and Godzilla, none of which I could locate. What a bummer.

Also found the cutest little fun sized castle, Château de la Clayette by randomly dragging the street view marker onto France in the 8 bit view. I think it will be a fun little build in Minecraft.

I thought this was worth sharing: the announcement video for this. I /knew/ there was a Dragon Quest connection -- note the music, straight out of Dragon Quest, although it's the GBC version, and not the NES version as they claim. The NES version was much uglier, both graphically and aurally.
