Call me a fool if you want, but I didn't read neither the books, neither saw the movie.
How much different is the book with the film?
Nah, it's understandable. Not many older people read the books, and the movie bombed spectacularly. But anyway...

The move changes so many plot points from the books (Examples of new changes include the main character's parents never being killed by his brother [in fact, they never die], the faction that kidnaps the main character is replaced with a faction that is introduced several books later, said faction that is introduced early has several of their ideals changed, the main character is in love with a character that in the books he couldn't stand much, and etc.), not to mention they messed up some basic owl stuff that the books had gotten spot on (such as Barn Owls having all black eyes, while in the movie pretty much all the owls have the same yellow/amber-ish eyes)

Quite possibly due to how bad the movie bombed, the director doesn't speak of it much and only refers to it as 'that owl movie'.

But anyway, I did this for the boyfriend. His result is quite hilarious. It make me feel so much better (but since the artist wrote the name on the wondrous work of art, and since Mr. Boyfriend doesn't want people to know his real name, I unfortunately can't post it, nor will he).

It is like as some people said in the past to me:
knowledge is power but in the same time is a big curse.
I am very sure I would enjoyed this film [I love watching animations], cause I don't know literally nothing about the book that base on.
But I feel your pain, because I have a similar situation why I hate a specific film, but all the others love it:

I Hate this film, because I read the Graphic Novel, the original one.
They made this film so....EEEERRGGG!!! I can rant for this film for hours, but I am lazy....

So yeah, I respect your opinion cause I am in the same "ship" like you.

Thomas The Hedgehog.
Heh, funny. He actually looks a lot like me, if I wore shorts and a cross, and was an anthropomorphic hedgehog. And blue.

I just wonder how that hell that miniature shirt is supposed to fit his rather large frame.
Can't... stop... laughing...

Why is he holding his groin like some rapper desperately trying to keep his pants up?

I may have contributed to the inspiration of this thread. I am so sorry. Anyways, here's:

actually it's "Alma Wade the Hedgehog", but I really don't care about anything anymore after this thread.

Oh god, so much bad fan art! I guess I'm lucky since when I search my name I came up with this:

Seems to be an already existing character, although I've never seen him before.
Glad it's not just me.
At least we don't get some crappy fan art. :D
I have a feeling his name is Russel....though I can't for the life of me remember where he is from. A kids film, I think. There were three of them...three animal kids...a girl and two guys...but that's all I can remember. Argh that's going to bug me.
Once upon a forest.... I watched that so much as a child. At least I believe that's what it was.

Jacob:

I searched "Jacob the Hedgehog".
Not as terrible as most of the others, I guess.
I also got a bunch of pictures from the TV show Winx, here's the gallery made by a guy called Jacob the Hedgehog:

Sweet Jesus.

Jackie:

Jacqueline the Hedgehog looks pretty good!

The second is apparently her twin sister, Anastasia. Still good though.
I'm actually happy I didn't get something bad.

Of the two sonic pictures came up, one of them was a poorly drawn picture of Sonic by someone who shares my first name, and the second was an odd picture of Shadow.

I think I've just broken the internet.

My God... That's awesome.

I wonder how long it's been since he's abandoned his website or if he's still updating it.

And the layout is strange... Grim Reaper-like thing with a knife in the corner with a bunch of Sonic stuff in the homepage. Accompanied by Sailor Moon and Winx image galleries.

Huh, not as vomit inducing as I expected.

Okay, I don't like seeing sexualized hedgehogs with my name.
