got some free time, need a good online FPS .. any recommendations?

found myself with a few hours free time most days since i'm on recovery.

can anyone recommend a good online fps, by the way .. i used to LOOOVE warrock but last time i tried to play that hackers seemed to rule the servers .. i've heard awesome things about counterstrike but i'm not sure how to get into that .. i heard most ppl playing that have been since they were lyk a fetus and are all PRO! ... so i don't want to hop into something where i'll constantly get my arse handed to me and ragequit because it's been 6 months and i haven't had a single kill haha

any pc shooters ppl can recommend for me?? prefferably one with a good selection of guns and is casual but not TOO causal

Team fortress 2 is a great FPS team based game filled with funny and witty characters.

Combat Arms is a good online fps, with servers for people just starting out that people who have been playing for a long time cant get into.

If you can think of a gun, its probably in there, and almost all of them can be modified.

I have a very short attention span when it comes to game. paly it for a few days the get bored and throw it in the corner. But BFBC 2 some how got me to put 130+ hours in the multiplayer

COD 4 was really good for it's time, and I guess it'd still be fun now.
Most would agree too that it's far better than it's spastic younger brother, "MW2."

You know, for a 'casual' FPS, as much as I like BFBC2, I wouldn't recommend it. Something where all the crowd isn't is probably the way to go. Something like Battlefield 2, Far Cry 2, or Left 4 Dead (it's a very different type of FPS). Or Team Fortress 2.

If you like War Rock you would love Warhawk, although that's for PS3 unfortunately.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 is really good.

Just picked up Left 4 Dead 2 again.... community is still there and it's still tons of fun... not a traditional FPS though, too many other elements... and who doesn't like Jockey races?
