Comic Book Cast 2's Video:

But take it from me I won't go see cuz firstly its a Batman related film, and secondly I never cared for Suicide Squad.

K, I'll probably go see it because Margot Robbie's performance was pretty much the only good thing in Suicide Squad

God dammit. DC needs to earn the good graces of audiences with their main heroes and stop making spin offs for every shitty character.

What's that smell, the stench of flop?

Anyway, what no LiveWire?! Man, fuck that! I need Tank Girl LiveWire going around shocking shit.

And they better have Batgirl and Supergirl trying to stop them.

Yeah but if they keep throwing enough darts at the wall, one of them is bound to be as good as a low-tier Marvel movie.

Honestly they should just scrap the entire DC movieverse, and stick to Animated movies. And also fire everyone who worked on the Killing Joke.

Hopefully Geoff Johns can whip the filmmakers of the DCEU into shape. He's so busy doing damage control with the movies he can't even write a comic.

Jeez only 3 movies and already its a lost cause? And the first one was not even that bad of a movie?

Didn't Geoff Johns spearheaded the much hated New 52?

I mean he wrote the entire Justice League comics?

Better movies than any of them haven't gotten sequels, let alone a third movie for a franchise. Were this any other franchise besides DC, no one would be defending it. If they did...oh, 3 bad Star Trek movies in a row, we wouldn't have what, 12 of the fuckers? Or what if the first 3 Star Wars were shit, would we all be going to see an 8th this Friday?!

I would have scrapped it after BvS, and I dunno, released Suicide Squad as a 4 part miniseries on HBO or something.

He's written more good than bad (his run on Flash in the early 2000's, Flash Rebirth, Batman Earth One, Green Lantern Rebirth, Infinite Crisis, nu52 Aquaman for the first 12 issues (one of the few great Nu52 titles, Forever Evil (the best Nu52 crossover besides Godhead, etc). He also wasn't solely in charge of Nu52. He spearheaded Rebirth more than he did Nu52.

So just wait till it gets better. The first 2 Abrams Star Trek movies were dislieked, but appereantly it got better by Beyond. I can wait, I am patient.

But anyway sometimes I wonder what was the logic behind Suicide Squad in that "Who wanted a Suicide Squad movie?"

Like this soon? I never heard of the Suicide Squad until the very first announcement of the movie. You think they would do a more recognizable hero movie than Suicide Squad?

As much as you seem to know about comics you really haven't heard of Suicide Squad? The Suicide Squad comics from the late 80's by John Ostrander were rad.

Actually Beyond was the worst and least Star Treky one yet. Using not the Enterprise to surf a wave of giant robot space bees while blasting Beastie Boys on loud speakers is about as opposite of Star Trek as you can get without the words "A Long Time Ago" preceding events.

As far as the legitimacy of Suicide Squad, I would've waited until Harely, the Joker(who needs to be recast pronto) and a few others had appeared in a few movies. Like, if they did a Marvel Suicide squad with Loki, Whiplash, brainwashed Hawkeye and some second stringers from Agents of Shield, then that'd be a movie.
But just introducing a bunch of no-names with shitty music, pretending to be that sweet sweet brand of Hot Top edgy and pre-post-post modern, was just shit.

Actually, I'd say Leto did a fine job as Joker. The person who needs to be let go was whoever designed that version of The Joker.

Seriously, Ceasar Romero's look had more dignity.

1. Who asked for this?
2. Who is this meant to be for?
3. Watching DC movies get announced is just embarrassing at this point.
4. Suicide Squad sucked donkey dick. It was worse than cancer. The theater experience equivalent of 5 years in Dachau. Unbearably atrocious, nauseating dumpster sludge. This has little to do with the thread, I just like bashing on that shit shit shitty shit shit piece of shit ass fucking shit movie.

I think I'm close to just stopping to care. After being less than impressed with both Civil War and Dr Strange, to say nothing of BvS, I feel there's very little for the superhero movie genre to go anymore. We've already seen the teamups, both bad and good guy (Avengers, Suicide Squad), the ultimate crossover (BvS), the infighting (Civil War), the origin story (80% of all superhero movies), the be-all-end-all destruction orgy (Apocalypse), and even the irreverent and subversive (Deadpool). If Logan delivers on what the trailer makes it seem to be, maybe it'll serve as both an allegory and eulogy for the whole superhero genre: once the mightiest of all, now old, scarred, rusty and tired, just waiting for the inevitable.
