Both bands are pretty good. I'll also echo London After Midnight. I never cared for Bauhaus, though.

Try Rammenstien- it's heavy metal, but incorporates Gothic themes. (S&M, dark voices, heavy riffs)
I mean you no offense, but please do not suggest "Gothic" music if you aren't familiar with what you are talking about at all.

I mean really, S&M? That is a sexual fetish, it has nothing to do with the subculture. To mistake the two for each other is just insulting to both parties involved.

As for the OP, you've already been given a great list of bands to choose from ranging from 80's bands to newer ones. However, since they have not been mentioned yet you should perhaps give 45 Grave, Cinema Strange, and Fields of the Nephilim a listen as well.

I understand you like Metal a lot from your posts, perhaps you should look more deeply into Black Metal instead of the softer Gothic music.

I've already looked into black metal - Dimmu Borgir, early Cradle of Filth, Immortal and Gorgoroth etc. I'm kinda looking for a wide range of stuff, and I'm intrigued by some gothic music

Well, as it was said, you've been given pretty much the best overall list you're going to find. After this point it rather falls into personal taste, to which as it has been said ask anyone who is deeply involved with the genre and you'll somehow end up with more answers than people.

With all of the names tossed out so far, if you haven't found at least two or three bands that tickle your fancy with their style (Because actual Gothic Rock bands run different in sounds like you wouldn't believe, unless they are one of the legions of Sisters of Mercy impersonators.) so far this may not be the genre for you. If however it has, I encourage you to try to continue along the roads branching from them and perhaps emerge with something you enjoy for your efforts.

In case it needs repetition for the future;

Industrial and Metal are not Gothic, yes they are popular and there are certain similarities in some places but really if you line a Gothic Rock song up on your music playlist with one of the other two commonly confused the difference will be jarring.

Starting with the original post punk "Goth" and "Death Rock" works alright.

- Joy Division
- Bauhaus
- Alien Sex Fiend
- Christian Death
- Specimen
- Dead Can Dance
- Sisters of Mercy
- Miranda Sex Garden
- The Cure

Newer stuff tends to be more electronic and eclectic and less listened to by me, though that's not to discourage exploration:

- Cinema Strange
- The Tear Garden
- Haelios
- Delirium
*as mentioned above*
- Switchblade Sympthony
- Black Tape For a Blue Girl
- London After Midnight

Not really an expert on the genre, but that's enough of a core to get you started.

One could be forgiven for mistaking an association though for all the goths who Stand and Model BDSM culture's clothing as something unique ;).

I kid... mostly...

The Cure. Great place to start for goth music.

Also, like others have said, Dead Can Dance. Brilliant stuff.
