I gotta feeling this will end in massive flames.

Also I couldn't care less about Online FPSs
I don't know about that, seems like a lot of ppl on these forums mostly agree MW2 got way much more hype than needed.

I wasn't that impressed from MW2 MP.

BC2 looks better.
It is better. Played the BETA at a friends house. Much more enjoyable and organic feeling.

I played the first bad company online...and was thoroughly disappointed.
No-one worked well, everyone did their own thing (Save one squad of four where guys were in a party together), the lag was awful, and it was all very underwhelming.

The videos for the next installment look slightly more promising, but so did the first Bad Company videos.
Modern Warfare won't cure cancer, or whatever else the hype said, but it's fun enough. I can get 6 or 7 buddies together to play a fun team game where we work together and have fun. Bad Company? It doesn't happen.

I'll probably pass on it, to be honest. I've got better games coming out, and MW2 is fine for my 'online shooter' game for now.

Honestly, all the makers need to do for online MP in BC2 is to do what all FPS's need to do
BE
MORE
LIKE
BATTLEFIELD
2
(PC VERSION)

That to this day is still the most balanced, fun, and overall greatest online experience i have ever had.
It had lots of spots for snipers to do their thing, Riflemen could do their thing anywhere, plenty of vehicles, huge maps, objective based, moderately realistic damage, and an actual MEDIC CLASS, (People dont get shot and have their entire body ragdoll very often in real life)

I enjoyed the first Bad Compant but what really destroyed it for me was the lag, so much lag that there was a delay on me pressing the button and my guy jumping. Often i put two clips into a guy and he still manages to knife me

When it comes to gameplay...

And no one will notice...0o

From what I've seen in BC2 it has a way more interested MP where you can destroy buildings and ride motorcycles while firing your weapon.

From all the hype I saw in MW2, I'm not seeing much from BC2....what's the deal here?
will sniper rifles have atleast a shred of realistic bullet damage based on caliber?

will there be an actual use for classes other than support?

will.......there...........be............prone.........

unless there is a definite yes to those three questions, BC2 will exactly be like BC 1, which if you look closely, never beat MW1's multiplayer.

and everyone that says "OMGWTFBBQQ BEST MULTIPLAYAR EVAR!!!11111oneone" will be the exact same people that said MW 2's multiplayer sucked simply because IW took out dedicated servers.
this is from bet expirence:
-a shred, yes, the M95 .50cal is likely the only 1HK from chest, realistic ballistics (IE bullet drop AND travel time)
-from beta experience, all classes are can be very useful, my favourite is assault, though, then medic, so YES AGAIN
-on the PC YES. consoles, not so much ITS FOR THE FRIGGIN SAKE OF GAMEPLAY FLOW WHEN CONSOLE CAN'T HANDLE MORE THAN 24PLAYERS, and the map size/design (PC gets 32players , other differences)

MW2 MP isn't really all that great. It's a lot of fun, and has moments of greatness, but it really can't live up to the standards set by CoD4. The balance just isn't there, and Infinity Ward has shown few signs of rectifying the many balance issues that remain.

Bad Company 2 is a totally different type of shooter. It's like comparing Rainbow Six and Call of Duty, or Halo and Call of Duty. There really aren't too many similarities to be honest.

I tend to agree with the OP, but people tend to stick to what they know, and a lot of people know call of duty all too well.

The last BF game i played was BF2, if BFBC2 has just improved slighty in terms of teamplay it should be epic to play with friends (BF2 was, so even the slightest improvement will be awesome) For a random online people experience not so much. Playing BF in a random sserver with random peopel is like 2 armies made of wananbe rambos clashing. no-one uderstands anything but "must farm xp and badges"
