Sorry, but as a real petrol/gearhead that probably got into cars partly because of GT I just need to get this off my chest.
/rant on.
Ok, you guys at PD have had 5 years. Porsche is no longer being run by those blasphamers that authorized mutant freaks such as the Cayenne and Panamera. It's run by VW, who you are obviously big pals with as you've even bothered to render a 1.4L Polo, you have pretty much all their other brands, including Lamborghini and yet, somehow you managed to fail at securing the rights for probably one of the most important makes in racing over the past 40 years.
No, actually, you probably didn't even try. All you've done is copy/paste the RUF's from previous games, without even bothering to update them with models based on later porsches...
Then there's the other stuff.......small manufacturers like to be in racing games, it gives their brand credibility and exposure they couldn't possibly get otherwise. So where the hell are Ariel, Ascari, Gumpert, SSC, Noble, Zenvo, KTM....you get the point. What a missed opportunity; you don't need to include every 2 bit car-maker in a shed, but come on, some of these are genuinely good companies.
Then there's the clusterfuck that is the models you chose for the brands that are included. You put in 5 craptastically bad Hyundai's and manage to miss the Genesis Coupe, the best car they've ever made by a mile. Where's the Ford Focus RS? The VW Sirocco?
Then there's the stuff you did include. Yes, I'm pretty happy my Evo 9 is in there, but did you really have to include every single version of every possible type of Evo in the known universe, ever? It doesn't add anything, just clutters up your menu's and confuses people. I know you're Japanese and you're close to your manufacturers, but 10 versions of the Daihatsu Copen, seriously? And 5 million Honda's... there's just one word I can use to describe Honda's sports car line-up since they killed the NSX and S2000: IRRELEVANT.
/rant off
*breathe* *breathe*
Then again, that X1 thing? Yeah....that's pretty cool.
