Well GTA V is coming out soon, yadda yadda yadda, lets get straight to the point,

With three characters, do you reckon there will be an overall guy they will have to take down in the end, or will each character have their own antagonist they have to deal with, and the characters can assist each other in missions to do it? I'm only saying because given all the publicity surrounding all the fun shit you can do in GTA V, they haven't really given anything yet to what it all drives towards to, because surely committing all these Heists will piss someone off in the criminal underworld.

I dunno thoughts?

At first I thought one of the characters you play becomes bad, but that seems kinda dumb the more I think about it. So I agree it is probably a mob boss.

I imagine at the end one of them will be killed by another.

Otherwise I'm expecting some junkies that get disregarded a quarter in, a betrayal of some sort, and a character from someone's "dark history" coming along to fuck stuff up.

That's pretty much the formula they've been going with since Vice City (where I joined the series).

For a funnier answer, though, I'll say it's going to be the guy who tried to sue Rockstar under the claim that CJ from San Andres was a rip-off of his likeness without his permission. :3

Well, From what I've gathered, there is no "Baddie" as such to begin with.

Michael (The Family Man) needs to get more money after his family blew all the riches he got as part of his FIB Deal(?)
Frankin (The Gang Member) wants out of the Grove Street life of hustling and needs money to do that.
Trevor ("I NEED A FUCKING MIDWIFE FOR THIS THING!") Is...Trevor.

Still, I can imagine them pissing off someone after the first Act or something like that.

I'm not really expecting any Big Bad. I more expect that the little group will fall apart with bickering and in-fighting and we get to witness that story.

I'm expecting two if not one of the 3 to betray one another till there's only one left and that's you.

Then again it's GTA so it could be some random mafia mob boss you accidentally ticked off on a heist gone wrong which would be kinda good for some plot.

I'd imagine they make a lot of different enemies with their escapades. Maybe they'll steal from the wrong people, piss off some rich corporation, make some rival in the crimical world or maybe the police gets tired of their antics. Maybe all of them.

I don't really think a game like this needs a real 'bad guy'. It would make more sense to me that each of the different characters has some individual hardships to overcome with the help of the others.

I more think into the path of a FBI agent or something like that. A govermental asshole so to say!

They really can cramp your style. And isn't it time San Andreas fights back..

The idea of betrayal in the group intrigues me. Will we be allowed to choose who betrays who, and if it comes down to only one of them coming out of the story alive, can we choose who that is? Quite a few possibilities with this game, and Rockstar hasn't even delved into the actual plot, other than "These guys need money for various reasons so they rob banks."

I remember one of the Houser brothers doing an interview about this.

One of the 3 playable characters becomes the bad guy. My guess is Michael cos of the FBI thing and he'll probably set the other two up with a sting heist.

So, exactly like Carlito's Way and/or GTA III?

Ask and you shall receive. Apparently it was actually a Cypress Hill back-up singer who filed the lawsuit.

Oooh, I really like the idea of letting you choose who lives at the end, and the other two are the final bosses :)

I can imagine the debate threads all over the internet already.
