So let me be the first to admit that the Protagonist Showdown thread I came up with was a bit ill thought out and as such forget about it and talk about something else. Now the main reason I got GTA4 was because of the online free-roam mode and as to be expected out of it some really epic moments came out of it. If you haven't already guessed by now where I'm going with this let me explain. Give me your most epic Grand Theft Auto 4/ Red Dead Redemption free-roam multiplayer stories. I'll start us off:
One moment in GTA4 that sticks out to me featured only the occasional brief car chase from the cops while trying to find where the hell the clothing store Perseus was in order to set up a shootout with the cops. Another involves a shootout with the police at a dilapitated building where the getaway was started by a helicopter full of the friends of an online friend I was playing with snapping off the tail of a police helo by crashing the one they were in into it.
Meanwhile in Red Dead Redemption, the gang hideout that rewards players with a armored carriage had just been raided by a posse of two people, me and two online friends weren't going to stand for that. By the time I arrived on the scene, we had taken the carriage, the friend with the invincibility glitch on was naturally the designated driver. The war had begun, the other posse still wanted that carriage. This senario also contains the best thing I have ever heard online. While trying to stay away from the rival posse the driver cried out, "They're not getting it, stealers keepers, finders weepers!" However one of the rival posse had gotten in front of us in an attempt to head us off and kill the driver. Given the glitch he had on it was a failiure. But now thanks to that move the second guy had now caught up to us, and since the third member of our posse had died and spawned in a crappy location, I was the only one who could shoot back. While navigating the desert trails I successfully shot one foe off his horse and killed the other guy's horse where he was later killed by a mountain lion. After a quick stop to reinstate the glitch due to messing it up, we rode on, straight into another gang hideout. Not wanting to risk the horses that were pulling the carriage, the driver turned around, only now it looked like it would have been a better idea to just cut through the hideout. The rival posse had caught up to us and were once again on our tail. The chase took us back through the terrain that we had passed through as I gunned down one of the enemies behind us, but now they are now at their most dangerous. They are fed up chasing us, as evidenced a short time later when they just killed our horses.
