Unfortunatly graphics is abit of a big thing for me. Having a degree in Fine Art will do that to you. I almost fainted when I first saw Crysis and Uncharted 2. And although I didnt really like Borderlands as a game, the graphics made it more enjoyable for me.
However it's not all about graphics, if the story grabs me, gameplay is good I'll be more than happy. I still love to play N64 Golden Eye and that is just cuz its a good game.
Its just I find, for me, the graphics help me 'immerse' myself into it more easily, thats all.
two analog sticks good
one analog stick bad

i don't really need good graphics. most of the games i play are on the pc. and thy are old. like for instance grand theft auto 3. i will sometimes play iPhone games but that is rather irrelavant. even though i really like games such as DMC 4, i don't really like games with good graphics because you cant remember them. though i have a PS3 i dont like good graphics as much as one would think because games with glamorous graphics lack on other things such as gameplay and flow and loading and story however most of the games ive seen that don't have noticeable graphics tend to have things such as a good story etc etc

It depends, really. I found combat in Realms of Arkania 3 (from Gog.com) impossible because of the limited graphics so I couldn't see what was going on.
Graphics are not as important as people can think but they're more important than they're sometimes given credit for. If you, at the very least, can see and comprehend what is going on and it doesn't affect the game too much, then I think graphics aren't overly important.

Good graphics should only ever be the icing on the cake. Seems like too many publishers at the moment are going heavy on the icing and short on the cake and that must makes a person sick.

((I want cake))

Don;'t know about you guys but I get a lot of uncanny valley with current graphics and prefer to keep them stylised rather than "realistic" so uber graphics mean a lot less to me.

On the other hand the consoles are hooked to a 50" panel so anything too blocky or pixelly looks completely arse.

As long as the game i'm playing has a great story or fun gameplay I usually don't pay attention to the graphics.
