So with Black Friday not so far away I decided to finally pony up for a new graphics card after doing a bit of research.

I found 3 cards that I liked at my price point of under $200. But the problem is the brands. I don't know them by reputation but reviews I looked at whittled down some other brands but still left these three.

So question is:
What brand is the best for a graphics card out of these choices

Sapphire

EVGA

ASUS

Thanks for any advice or suggestions in advance! :)

Also, I've check compatibility with my other hardware, these should all do equally fine.

ASUS focus's on mass production, and puts out products that don't work at their greatest potential. Sometimes, their cards don't even work.

EVGA focus's on drivers and software, with hardware being a lesser concern, which leads to under-powered cards.

Sapphire focus's on Hardware and reliability first, but their software has a few minor issues that really shouldn't bother you.

So, go with Xzi. Get the Sapphire.

ok, i dunno what kinda drugs the guys b4 me are on, but seriously:

sapphire if you have an ATI card and wanna downgrade it, asus has quality, but should stick to motherboards, and EVGA is friggen AMAZING no matter what your getting, great hardware, great tech support, great warrenty, amazing quality overall.

ive used all 3, and sapphire i absolutely HATED. evga has ALWAYS served me VERY well, i can't emphasize that enough, and asus is aight, not noteworthy really.

I have a XFX card though EVGA never let me down. ATI hasn't been an option for me in a while since I had 2 laptops with ATI cards and they never once updated them, I had to use Omega Drivers instead which really annoyed me.

Sapphire has never given me any sort of warm, fuzzy feelings, and I've only had a few things made by Asus. They have been great, but they don't read to me like a video card company. Probably fine though in that department, but I'd prefer them to be my mobo manufacturers than my video card. That leaves EVGA which I've been hearing nothing but the best about them and their cards and customer service.

Get the sapphire card.

Because look at that heatsink. You're gonna need it.

Sadly I don't give a flying fuck about who makes my card. Drivers go with chipsets not who stuck it on the card. Customer support is always useless, google the problem you'll find better answers. So it's easier to choose which card will melt the slowest and buy that.

If you want a GTX460, stick to the 1GB ones, and look no further than this.

Highest rated GTX460 out of all their top selling ones (Score/NumberReviews). Fan can be a bit large and audible, but it keeps the 460 at nice temps.

Wow, sounds like some support for all sides.

Thanks for the advice everyone! :)

I think ill go with the Sapphire card, if for no other reason than that it goes along with my AMD quad core. Now just to cross my fingers for it to go down of Black Friday. If the evga goes on sale and Sapphire doesn't ill get that.

They're all good card manufacturers. My card is an Asus 5870, and she runs perfectly. I use AMD's own drivers, and it works well.
