It's good that Australia may be finally able to ensure that legal adults can make decisions about the type of media they consume instead of that decision being taken away by an antiquated rating system. I hope these talks work out.
I've got a good feeling about them too. Michael Atkinson's out of the picture and one of the dudes fronting one of the gaming lobby groups, Electronic Frontiers Australia, seems like a sharp dude. I heard a radio interview from him where he explained simply and clearly to make the presenter, who obviously was clueless about video games, to understand his organisation's stance and even what video games are. That's key of course, games are mostly shunned due to a lack of understanding. If that can get accross there's really no reason that logic can't finally prevail.
