Gravity Falls (new Disney Channel cartoon) dedicates entire episode to video game references

I didn't see that episode but from the other episode I saw(time travel episode) the show has a good bit of promise, looking forward to more episodes myself.

This would be great if we were back in the 90's or if videogames hadn't evolved over the past two decades or if I still gave a crap about how other forms of media portray videogames.

Watched it today not too long ago. Loved it, by far my favorite one so far. Gravity Falls seems to be on a good roll and if they keep it up they might give other animated shows a good run for their money.

In my opinion it's already surpassed most cartoons currently out right now. Yes even MlP in my opinion. But that probably just means that I'm a huge fan boy and I'm the only one thinking this.

From what episodes that are out now I would agree. The only thing is for me I wanna see if they can keep up this pace throughout the first (hopefully with plenty more to come) season, which will give a decent idea of how good it can keep. They already have a lot of stuff to work with as well as plenty of things they could put into between episodes so it is one of those shows that gives me plenty of reason to keep watching it.

This is one of my favorite shows of all time, despite there being only about ten episodes or something. It's such a god damn great show.

What is with Disney and video games as of late?

Reck it Ralph, this, the Epic Mickey games...

Why is Disney suddenly so interested? Have they finally figured out that video games are more profitable than films or the traditional entertainment they been producing, or they just trying to ape Warner Brothers, who is currently doing the same thing?

Heh, I also like Gravity Falls. I've only seen a few episodes though, I only catch the show when my sister is watching it.

Being a big Street Fighter fan, I'm definitely going to be watching this episode.
