Sonic Adventure 2: Battle

Despite the dumbass title and the hate for it because it was no good, I love that game beyond reason.

Also Freedom Fighters. I've never known anyone else that liked it.

Gunstar Heroes. Always Gunstar Heroes.
You sir, are now my BFF, Gunstar Heroes is one of my favorite Mega Drive games (Sorry, but Desert Strike will always make me do a sex-wee, best main theme ever (after Morrowind)) Only way to play Gunstar Heroes is to use to move-shoot option, it becomes an endurance test to see how long it takes for your thumb to seize up.

Only other one I can think of that kept me glued to a TV screen as a wee nipper is Jet Force Gemini, frustrating but oh soooo awesome.
I remember blisters from playing on hard and trying to finish Level 5.
Hurt like no other.

Also, blue insect antagonists and a dog with jetpacks that turns into a tank. OK THEN!
Too true, I just remember after long sessions of playing it, I couldn't really use my hands for anything lol, just sit in my room in pain thinking, god I love Gunstar Heroes lol

I'm gonna say Killer Instinct, and it's sequel, Killer Instinct Gold. the first one was on SNES(in a black cartridge no less!) And the 2nd was on N64. GREAT fighters, tons of fun, with a unique cast, feautring everything from a boxer, to a werewolf, to a pirate skeleton, to a robot. GReat games that NEED A SEQUEL!

Also, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition. Imagine Power Rangers, now make a fighting game, featuring most of the MEgazords, Lord Zedd, and a few monsters. That's this game. It was no Street Fighter II, but it's loads of fun, with a unique combat system. Did I mention it's battle system was later used for Gundam Wing: Endless Duel? Definitely recommend it on SNES, even if you aren't a fan of Power Rangers.

I can't remmber the name, but I played it on my old Mac (Before they were good) when I was little.

You played as a Velociraptor who is saved by the future (or Aliens, I don't remember) and is send back in time to get dinosaurs eggs.

It was awesome.

The aount of people bleating "Okami" leads me to believe it is not an unknown/underrated game at all. It is pretty awesome though.

Anyway. Ignition is one of the purest and most fun DOS driving games ever. Like, up there with Mario Kart.

Moraff's Dungeons of the Unforgiven is also very awesome, but also extremely shit.

Theme Hospital and republic commando are NOT unknown games.

Gungrave was CRAP, all about points so there was no point playing it.

Black and White 2 I thought was well known but no one seems to acknowledge it's existence? ArmA isn't known well outside it's few die-hard fans, and Metro 2033 deserves more credit as it's such a fantastic play.

OT: Has anyone said Psychonauts?
I'm going with Psychonauts.

It might be well known on the site, but not so much outside of it.
Haha, so true. Though admittedly I find it funny that I only know the game because so many people know it as the game that nobody knows

OT: War of the Monsters??? I have it, but the disc is a cluster-fudge of game-wrecking scratches. Also, if it was better known it would probably have a PS3 equivalent/sequel and I wouldn't be on here talking about it, I'd be in my lounge playing it.

I remember some articles in PC Gamer that talked about Freedom Fighter's Sequel: Freedom Force vs The Third Reich. Never played either of them, though

Honestly, Metro 2033. It had a tiny bit of hype before it game out, but it seems to have passed under the radar on video-game websites/magazines from what I've seen.
I've been meaning to check out that game actually.
How is it so far?

agreed here, AkJay..amazing game.

now my vote is for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. people always ask more more realism in games, then they get it and are like "man this is bullshit, i can't even charge into the enemy base without dying on normal"

well no friggen duh, it's called "the realism you were looking for" i honestly think it's a great game, if not hard as hell at certain points

also, Raven Squad. you may have heard of this 360/PS3 game last year. it's an FPS/RTS mixture. RTS for plotting routes, FPS for...well...everything else. i thought it was surprisingly fun

the same goes for Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard. i thoguht this game was just fun. horrid game. very very terrible acting, gameplay...graphics weren't bad..but the game actually makes fun of itself. like.. "what was that?" 'oh, it looks like somebody is re-writing the code of the game' "what? game? what are you talking about?"
he'll say "it's hazard time" and everybody hates him for it, and he doesn't understand, because he thinks it's a cool line. it's juts a fun game. go play it.

and finally...the almighty...Shenmue for the SEGA Dreamcast. that game will piss you off so bad...but then you'll keep playing it "why the f**k do i need to sit around with my thumb up my ass for 9 in game hours JUST to watch a non-important cutscene?!?!?! THERE'S NOTHING TO DO BUT STAND IN PLACE!! I HAVE NO MONEY FOR THE ARCADE!!" then somebody comes along "...why don't you stop playing for awhile then? just put the controller down for 5 minutes?" then you so kindly reply with "BECAUSE I NEED TO SEE WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN YOU FRIGGEN RETARD!!! GOD! i'll just effing train my moves then!!"

then the 9 in-game hours rolls around, and you'll come across a fight, and mis the guy you were supposed to meet and have this joyus day all over again, then when it finally happens, you'll be smiling and so proud of yourself, and you wont even realize that you just yelled at your great grandma because you couldn't put down the controller and let time pass for 5 minutes. it's THAT amazing of a game. it makes you pissed off, then not care what happened. then when you stop playing, life carries on as normal. it's just that amazing.

Giants: Citizen Kabuto for PC. Guys, it's like $2.99 now from any digital distributor. It's a gem of a game, genuinely hilarious and a real blast to play through. One of my favorite games, yet so under appreciated and it's practically unknown right now. Forgotten :(
I played it a while back, it had very fun cutscenes. I still haven't seen any other game that mashes up so effortlessly so many different genres.

Someone has heard about this.
Oh, great.
I fondly remember all the TIE-Fighter vs X-Wing fights we've had.
Awesome game.
Did you have the PC version?

Damn

I love the spitfire in it, that was the plane I used the most.
