Whatever, just wash your hands.
So I was looking through some stuff on youtube and noticed that some really good songs and things seem to have very few views so I thought I would make a thread about them. Lets try and keep it to songs that are under a million views and try to link to the original source.

(ignore the cover here)
(Ehhhh, its a game song but the game wasn't very well known so)

Implying anything spawned from the Brony community is.....unknown?

Well that first song only has like 47K views. Not a ton. The second has like almost 600k. Still under a million and a lot of songs on my music list that I've never heard anywhere beat a million rather easily.

I was a fan of The Drovers. A Chicago-based band with a Celtic-rock sort of feel. Most videos that made their way to youtube (not many at all) are either just album covers with a song, or cuts from a movie they were featured in back in the 90's. None have more than 10 or 20 thousand views. Really obscure.

Hmm, alright i'll bite. Totally not procrastinating right now though, so don't tell anyone. For...no reason...

(Capo 4th fret, where all the magic happens. That and 2nd fret too.)

Not the original recording I was hoping to find, but damn I thought these weren't that unknown.

Huh...Didn't know the vocalist looked like Mark Walberg till now.

And no, not a Rainbow cover.

No apologies for steampunk, long live the cog.

If they ever make a steampunk free-roaming adventure, they have better license this damn music or slink back in shame to their ragged oily cabins

Am almost certain if Mark Hamill's Joker listened to any music at all before proceeding with nighttime killing plans, or at least hears looping in the recesses of his mind, this group would be it.

Almost done, sorry!

Blues Saraceno - Evil ways (Rebel Galaxy soundtrack) To be honest, this stuff is about as simple guitar learning material as you can get, but I likes the style too much to get all music snob on its' ass. I'll be even more snobby by not being a snob therefore creating a snob singu...Arghh the word's gone all weird to look at now! Nevermind. Moving on...

Anadel - In the water (Telltale's walking dead some episode) They pick good music for end credits. That's an artform in itself i'm sure. (Capo on 2nd fret btw)

First Aid Kit - My silver lining (Tales from the borderlands. Or telltales from the borderlands...Ahahaha! Ok, sorry, not even funny).

No, really, just one more, really.

Ok, this doesn't look technically unheard much, but I never heard anybody mention this anywhere ever...So still counts, my conscience is clear!
*phew* Phone didn't break!

Those are some good ones, I found some more.
No idea how this one has less than a million views.
Another one that somehow has under a million views.

One last one i forgot to add, it only exists because a specific Coldplay song Frank Cappello wanted for the low budget film He Was a Quiet Man (with a rather impressive Christian Slater performance within) was going to cost too much to license from the publisher, so wrote one for the film himself, which was performed by another band for the intended scene, but I prefer his solo version here much more;

Since most of my musical tastes are outside of the mainstream, it's not that hard to find songs that I like that are under 1 million views. So, I picked one song that I really like that has less than 300 views.

Here we go.

Marcy Playground, they have other decent songs, not just Sex and Candy.

Soul Coughing is excellent, even just for the lyrics.

Nomads by the High Llamas.

I highly recommend that whole Album, "Hawaii" as well. It's sort of like the Beach Boy's "Smile" Album.

Original source, mm, not quite with this first one but I think it's a pretty killer cover so I'm gonna throw it in.

This next one's original.

Huh, only a couple hundred views on this one.
I became aware of these guys when they opened for The Who, how did they not spread around?

worth noting that the animated short from that video--titled "the backwater gospel"--is absolutely worth watching on its own. it's gorgeous to look at and i discovered the song thanks to the short (iirc). very cool song too.

as for my own contributions...

Roy Zimmerman usually does political satire/comedy songs, but his non-political songs are fun as well.

Malukah always deserves more views.

a friend showed this to me. very sweet song.

video's unlisted, but still. had to include it because i'm in love with the song.
