Ok, this doesn't look technically unheard much, but I never heard anybody mention this anywhere ever...So still counts, my conscience is clear!
worth noting that the animated short from that video--titled "the backwater gospel"--is absolutely worth watching on its own. it's gorgeous to look at and i discovered the song thanks to the short (iirc). very cool song too.

as for my own contributions...

Roy Zimmerman usually does political satire/comedy songs, but his non-political songs are fun as well.

Malukah always deserves more views.

a friend showed this to me. very sweet song.

video's unlisted, but still. had to include it because i'm in love with the song.
I actually am looking into this animation solely through this happy accident, the art style is quite intriguing and seems like a pretty cool thing so far, definitely up my alley of sorts ;)

Whatever, just wash your hands.
Heres one I doubt any of you have heard.

Edit: except for the fact that I think I linked this before.

Never pass of a chance to promote puscifer, my music teacher always said. Granted, that person only exists in my head, but they still make good points every so often whenever I need to justify questionable decisions. So puscifer it is;

Some of my favorite unknown gems:

Goofy, upbeat song about driving. Always fun to play while I'm commuting

Song from back in the 90s that I fell in love with. Plus the lead singer is quite gorgeous in my opinion, so plus there.

One of the cornerstone songs of my identity. Plus it just fucking rocks all the socks.

Someone above linked a Soul Coughing song, kudos to you for that btw, here is a song by their lead singer in his solo work. Really funky, groovy song.

This song always makes me think of a pack of werewolves on the hunt. Really gets the blood pumping.

I could think of more if I was at home and could look through my cd towers, but at work, so that's all I have right now.
