I'm thinking of starting a "Let's Play" series and I'd like to know if there are any really good co-op games put there. Aside from the fact of me just enjoying co-op, they've always been my favorite LP's to watch. I'll probably end up making a thread on this later with a list of possible games and seeing if anyone's interested in going through them.

The urge came up last night when I was playing Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. Which is a game series I would be interested in doing. I'll take anything new or old for Pc. Preferably if they are available on steam.

This place is really good for that

And now for some of my favourites:

Swat 3

For me the best in the Swat series (4 had very small maps even though it had a great sense of atmosphere), if you like Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six you will also like this one.

Hidden and Dangerous 2

A very cool WW2 tactical shooter that leaves a lot of room for the players to decide how to advance while still keeping itself fun.

PS: The first game is free but its also a LOT more dated.

Serious Sam HD: First and Second Encounter

A very tight old-school shooter that is incredibly refined (SS3 not so much), it can get a bit repetitive by the end of each game but it does offer a nice sense of adventure that is somewhat lacking in more recent games.

Magicka

Its dumb, like very dumb, but its also really fun. You really wont find anything like it.

Renegade Ops

Gorgeus twin-stick shooter by the guys that did Just Cause 2, its a bit on the short side but the higher difficulties do give some replay value and the game is cheap.

E.Y.E. Divine Cibermancy

Cant really talk much about this one since I never played it online, still, its also a rather unique game that can be played in co-op and since the game has a very strong direction of letting the player do whatever he wants that probably can be fun with a co-op buddy.

The Monster Hunter games were good, but good luck getting the better games in the series to work (The ones not on a Wii console)

I'll just ape TotalBiscuit here and say Killing Floor is the best co-op shooter on the market. It doesn't have anything resembling a campaign, though, so it's no good for Let's Plays.

I've also recently enjoyed co-op in Borderlands 2 (though the mechanics leave a little to be desired, as with the first game), Torchlight 2, Terraria, StarMade, as well as comp-stomping in Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance (with a plethora of mods) and Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion (with the "Sins of a Galactic Empire" Star Wars mod).

Honorable mention goes to Dawn of War II: Retribution's "Last Stand" mode. Fun for a little while, and the only saving grace that game has.

FEAR 3 has some pretty good coop. The main campaign's designed for two-man coop, while there's also some 4-man coop modes as well.

You might also try checking out Payday 2. It's a little different from most shooters, but it's not bad if you want a change of pace.

Oh, and Left 4 Dead 2 if you haven't played that at all.

The Serious Sam games are a blast alone or with a friend. Plus, the HD versions are freaking gorgeous, if you're even remotely into graphics. However the HD versions don't support local co op, where as the originals, even on PC, did. Something dumb about the engine not working with it until Serious Sam 3, I don't know. It was disappointing.

Also there's hardly any exposition to get in the way of your Let's Play.

Lara Croft & the Guardian of Light is probably the most fun I've had with a co-op partner in ages. It's a great game, solo or co-op, but adding a second person really makes it shine.
