I still haven't seen Moon. It's a pain to find where I live, and I'd rather the DVD than download it.

Star Wars is more Science Fantasy though. I suppose if the creator counts them it's fine, but otherwise the futuristic tech of the world could be removed and the story would still be the same. That's typically impossible with most hard sci-fi films.Ossian said:
Looking at the movies on my shelf that haven't been mentioned, I can heartily recommend the original Star Wars trilogy, Stargate, and the first six Star Trek films -- aside from the fifth one, which sucked. With the stuff that's been mentioned by other posters, I'm going to second (or third, or whatever) Blade Runner. Absolutely worth the cost of admission -- to the point that I'm seriously considering a used copy of the suitcase edition that comes with every cut of the film, that my local record shop has for $30 something.

Seconded. If you don't turn your brain off, 2001: A Space Odyssey is a very deep and thought provoking film. It's also one of the few science fiction movies where outer space is depicted realistically.starfox444 said:
