Dark Cabaret makes me think Dresdon Dolls

You're the first person I know of who knows of the Dresden Dolls and doesn't like them.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think they are bad. Just overrated...
Something about them really annoys me too. But besides that, I do recognise they make better music than 90% of the shit on the radio.

Oh no, you're perfectly entitled to dislike them. I do admit, Amanda Palmer (lead singer) does come across as a little full of herself, and quite the exhibitionist - especially if you've happened upon her twitter feed.

um best thing is dark cabaret look them up, best ones to look for are snip snip, terrible, russians and if your not easily offended banging in the nails.. fire is good too, its really hard to explain them without listening to them
