No I'm not going to do that again, instead I just reminded myself how kick-ass Evolve's Happy Hunting trailer is.

GodDAMN was that an awesome use of licensed music in a trailer. Can any of you guys top it?

I can give you a two way tie.

The movie Nine, had Coheed and Cambria's, Welcome Home in the trailer. Kinda the whole reason I wanted to see it.

Next is Clash of the Titans with a song by The Used, The Bird and the Worm.

To bad both of these movies sucked.

I can't quite explain why it works so well, but it just does. I think it helps that the song builds to this climax as Micheal's actions are shown as increasingly off the rails.

When it come to films trailers, there two come to my mind-

They just make me pumped up and get hyped over it which is good seeing how both films were great.

Just now found out the song at the end of this trailer is called "Hoppípolla". I've also heard it at a film called "We bought a zoo". So, here's one of my favorite trailers I've ever seen, and it's for Half-Life 2. (Pretty sure this is a fan-made trailer, too.)

That was honestly my first thought when I saw this subject title. I don't even particularly like that song, but it worked really well for the trailer.

Not really a great use of it (though the song is pretty hype) but do you remember...I think about three years ago, when almost every game involving shooting that was coming out used "Invaders must die" as the soundtrack...boy did that get old pretty quick

Best one in my recent memory was the Rage launch trailer.

Also how does one embed videos?
Copy the bit of code directly after the "youtu.be/" part of the URL you get when you click the "share" option on the video, and then paste it after youtube= in between a pair of brackets. Like so, only replace { and } with [ and ].

I love Mudhoney, they haven't been in the public scene in years (though in britain they did have a brief re-emergence) and this is my fav song of there's.

Got a recent one that just uses licensed music simply, but effectively.

Well, this might just be my love of Clutch, but Electric Worry on the Left 4 Dead 2 TV spot was great.
