I played a version for the gameboy and i cant be bothered going through those videos, so ill put it in a poiler.
You find the boy who made you =go into the final fantasy world and you have a long emotional talk with him nad about your characters and you all eventually go back to the real world with your characters changes and other things
...
its been so long since i finshed this game
I would also like to give a motion towards Braid, i was not expecting that at all, i didnt play it, i watched my brother play all the game, then when he went through the ending, i was like, "woah, that... was... awesome..." I was totaly suprised and i loved it, comletet Mind F***
For me it has to be GTA San Andreas. So much to explore, to do, to drive, to shoot. I alsolutely loved the map, the characters and the humour. Good times.
I hope the rumours of GTA 3, Vice City and SA being released on one disc on PS3 turn out to be true.
Its hard to say, I have allot in my mind as the greatest but the one that stands out in my mind is the final fist fight with ocelot/liquid at the end of metal gear solid 4.
The changing health bars, the music, and the brutality of the fighting just made it feel incredibly climactic, and I like a climactic battle.
If I had another moment to think I would probably tell you of something much more surprising, or conclusive but this one just stands out very well for me.
I'd have to say one of the greatest endings in gaming (I'm sure someone has mentioned my top 5 already) has to be Okami. It's the only Wii game I can justify for adults, and it really is a great game. If you get it, it's easier to do the paint brush spells with the PS2 so be wary although I find the Wii's version more fun.
Dark Saviour - after chasing this girl the whole game you end up without her. On the boatride home your companion says "You liked her sister better anyway didn't you?", your character says "Yeah."
Tetris: there are multiple endings (win and lose) and you can choose your ending base on how you did in the game. Sometimes the pieces will flash in different colours.
No More Heroes ranks high, as does my recently conquered Brutal Legend Disc. I don't know really, I love story games but very few endings, NMH is an exception as it puts the rest of the game in a whole new light. Wind Waker's final battle is also amazing, and MGS3 is just flat out the best plot in a game period, including the unexpected, jarring ending.
I guess MGS 3. Worst ending goes to MGS2. WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED!?
I agree with this, from the second to last mission, inFamous is awesome. It's just a pity that the flow of the story is interrupted on Hard Mode, where the last boss is stupidly overpowered
