Greatist Birthday Presents!

It was my birthday on the 14th so I decided, why not end my 3 year lurking spree, make an acount and post a thread? So I made an account, and couldn't find the button was too busy to make the thread. But, here it is 2 days later.

So, Escapists, what is the best birthday present you've ever been receved (or given)?

I don't know what mine is, but the WWI Victory Medal I got when I was 9 is probably one of the best.

Anyway, My girlfriend got me Okami last year. It took her several hours of running around to different gamestops trying to remember the name of the game (she isn't a gamer) but I hadn't ever even seen it in stores in years so I was suitably surprised to see it.

Getting around £200 for spending money when I visited AMERICA! for the Escapist Expo!

It was an early b-day gift, but totally worth it. It was the best time ever 'u'

One of my friends Knew I wasnt close to my family so she threw me a dinner party great present also my mum got me the whole farscape box set a few years back

My best birthday present was an old wrist watch my great uncle gave me. It was his old watch.

On my 20th birthday my mother held a BBQ and my family was all invited to our house. I am not usually one for birthdays, atleast not for me, but it was a fun day. About half way through the day my Uncle asks me to go with him into the kitchen and holds out two watches. He says "Which one do you like more?". One was a gold coloured watch with a leather band and the other was an old Cardinal stainless steel watch with a blue face. I pointed at the Cardinal and he said "Here, it's yours."

It was the only gift my great uncle ever gave me that wasn't money and I wear it everyday, I love it. I've already had to repair it once. I'm sure it will need fixing much more by the time I'm through with it.

While not a Birthday present, I did get a nice, ankle length black leather trench coat and a pair of good quality black leather gloves for Christmas one year.

And the news that Bin Laden had been killed broke late on my birthday.

My best birthday was last year when my friends go together and bought me all the Munchkin games (that were out at the time) ! Then we played all night! And drinking! It was a great birthday.

The best gift that was given to my was my 11th birthday. My parents had bought me a brand new Xbox and also given me Halo which just came out that day. I played it all night long (Thank god it was the weekend, otherwise I'd been in some shit). Finished the campaign and went over to my friends house the next day with my brother and played a system link game. There are few times I can say I had as much fun playing a game then those days without online, with your foes in the next room, playing split-screen with three other friends. I get to share my birthday with my favorite gaming series...Not many people get to say that, so I hold that high with pride.
