In many games (Such as Rpgs and Rts') the player may require money to do something important (as in real life) E.g buy new units, repair armour etc. However sometimes I can get overcome by greed and start hoarding my wealth for no real purpose. The most triumphant example of this would be my Morrowind PC Character, who has more than 145k gold (thank you creeper) and today I raided the tomb of 2 norse heroes because there was money and valubles inside, but spends little money except when repairing armour or buying spells.

So I ask you, when have you been overcome by greed in videogames and how?

Not exactly greed, but in games like prototype where a lot of power ups can be bought, I tend to just buy all the simple and effective ones since I get bogged down by all the button combos to remember. It leaves me with a crap load of points to be spent.

In Fallout 3 I pretty much kept everything I found and only used the caps I found for repairs and barely sold anything. Although this is less greed and more collecting.

In Assassins Creed 2 you get money every 20 minutes, which can be used to buy weapons, equipment or upgrades on your villa to get EVEN more money every 20 minutes... So, I left the game on a couple hours, doing nothing. When I got back, I was nasty rich, and I invested all the money to buy all the upgrades of the villa early on.

Never had trouble with money during the game, ever again...
