I guess its like what people said your expectations towards the movie when I saw it I never saw it in theaters and by that point I was already bored of superhero movies because really they all have a lack of flavor. I mean look at the spider man movies, the first one had some flavor to it but the next two don't I don't even think i even watched the third one all the way through but then they rebooted it and the first amazing spider man was pretty great haven't got around to properly watching the second one yet. Ryan Reynolds GL character makes some kind of sense if you think about it, first he get fired from his job (that still doesn't make sense to me I can't see what he did wrong his job is a test pilot that is what he is supposed to do) then he gets taken over to the dying GL(can't remember his name at the time) and told the ring chose him, later he "joins" the Green Lantern Corps and trained but everyone apparently is comparing him to his predecessor and saying he is not fit for the job and Hal Jordan quits the corps. Honestly can you blame him for that that like being forced to enter a programming class with no knowledge then being compared to the best student.

Why is Hal fired when what he did was break a testing situation that he was supposed to try and beat?

Why were those planes considered a failure when Hal clearly did something no pilot would do?

There is no such thing as a minimum safe ejection altitude.

Why does Parallax look like a smoke monster when he's supposed to be an embodiment of fear as a function of hard yellow light? Seriously, guys, you did this with Galactus and people hated it too. Why would you try this again?

Oh hey, Hector and Hal know each other...we learn an hour into the movie. Ok.

That suit is an ugly piece of ugly and whoever was in charge of it I hope was fired and they were never put in a position as lead designer again.

Oh gosh, it's Kilowag! He's awesome! And he'll be on screen for 3 minutes! NO seriously, I counted. He has barely over 3 minutes of screen time.

Oh cool, a bunch of GLs are going to take on Parallax! This'll be cool! Wow, that lasted almost as long as it took you to read this sentence!

So, we never going to bring up the Yellow impurity or weakness or reason why green hard light is shattered by it? No? Never going to be a thing in the movie? Eh, sure. Why not.

Hi Amanda Waller! Bye Amanda Waller! Good to see you're somehow a lot skinnier and serving as your vapid idiotic counterpart that must have inspired the New 52 version of you! And never seen again.

Hal quits the Green Lantern Corps and is allowed to keep the most powerful weapon in the universe? Well Ok, I guess if you quit being a tank driver they just let you drive it home, right?

So all you had to do to defeat the giant smoke monster was to punch it into the sun. Ok.

I guess you have a reason to take the yellow ring now, Sinestro. I mean it's been shown that the green rings are more powerful than the fear monster, ergo the thing that powers those rings so...wait why are you taking it?

Yeah I hated Green Lantern. I love the comics and Kyle Rayner is one of my favourite lanterns, but this movie...no. When Man of Steel made me like GL more, I began hating Man of steel more for making me like GL more. Positive feedback loop of hate.
