Jax stared at the menu, not sure what to order but took the bored teens advice "yeah sure, I'll take one of those Boosteruitio or whatever you said, and some of those 'churros' " he said with assurance to the teen behind the counter.
No yellings or sprays, this is turning out better than I hoped!

"Alright, so do you to have money or do I charge it to the JLA?" said the Teen

"Ah yes, charge it to them. We are, after all. a part of their group" he said confidently.
We just saved them, they can pay for our lunch. Fair trade if you ask me.

Vex happily dug into his food quite voraciously, leaving behind no crumb as he savored the crunchy corn tortilla.
He ate 5 within 5 seconds, and was still hungry for more.
Good thing he turned away so no one knows how he eats

A golden meteor streaked through the sky and struck into a nearby building, shaking the surrounding area in a small tremor.

Jax looked down at the food spread before him, what little smell he could pick up was intoxicating and it looked great. He picked up a churro and bit into the sugary thing tentativley, then proceeded to voraciously pack the whole thing away before turning to the others
"This stuff is great" he managed to say between bites

The building the crater impacted with collapsed over the crater it had made. After the effects of the initial impact the area was deathly silent.

"What'd I tell ya!?" Vex said as he polished off the rest of his plate.
When the ground started to shake, the people started to flee. Vex stayed in his seat.
"Dammit, this is TACO TIME! It's HOLY! That's like the Sundays of Earth!"

"Why must this happen now?" He asked mournfuly "cant they wait until I atleast finished off my meal?" He said while eating another Churro.
"Well, we should check that out shouldnt we?" He asked, not making a move to get up

 

[Zeromaeus]

More tremors shook the area suddenly as the debris from the building is blasted away from underneath.

Jax hung his head and sighed deeply. "Come on Vex, we have a actual job to do" he said as he walked outside and towards the crash site.

Vex jumped out of his seat, combat ready

A golden light shone from inside the crater. At the center of that light was a lone, tall figure. Insectoid in appearance, one familiar thing stood out about it. The yellow ring adorning its right hand and the emblem on its chest.

Jax looked with muted interest at the insect emerging from the rubble, seeing the yellow ring it had his own ring started to give off warning signals.
"I dont think this will end well..." he muttered

Ryxin looked up at the pair of green lanterns that were approaching him.
Good. I won't have to go looking for them.
Ryxin lifted off the ground, surrounded in his yellow aura. When he was level with the ground he lifted one arm and extended his ring finger (effectively his pointer and middle finger).
"Greetings lanterns." his voice scratchy, his words emphasized by the click of his mandibles. "Master Sinestro has a message for you."
A yellow spike shot out of the ring a headed straight for the neck of the closest lantern.

 

[Zirat]

Jax quickly dodged the spike aimed at him "wonderful, a stereotypical grub" he said miserably. "You want a fight? Then you have one" he said as he projected a sawblade and sent it hurtling towards the enemy Corps member.

 

[Zeromaeus]

Ryxin caught the saw blade with a projected claw and broke it. The yellow energy negating the green.
He then quickly retaliated by projecting five more spikes, one from each finger, towards the heroes.
