Dan noticed a huge shadow fall over him. He looked up to see a-
"DOG! FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-"
The dog hit him in the face and sent him flying. Dan sat up and rubbed his head.
"Damn..."

Vex stared at Jax.
"Yeah..." Vex said, "Sicne we're gonna hafta be alone..."
Vex pushed Jax into a nearby hole

"Wait what!" Was all Jax managed to say before he fell down the hole, which was much deeper than it looked.

Eventually he hit the ground with a muffled crash "oh... I am going to have to get him for that" he said as he looked around the pitch black area. After some considereation he removed his goggles, and after letting his sensitive eyes adjust to the area was able to see just fine, and saw that he seemed to be in a underground cavern.

"Stel do you think the rookies will be alright?" asked Mogo through Stel's ring
"According to Honor guard lantern Gardner they are the best since Natu's class." said Stel

 

[Moderationintime]

"Oh dear god" Telmus says as he backs away from the large Hawk in front of him. This isn't real, you aren't prey Telmus thinks. Nope you are prey Telmus thinks as the large bird grabs him in its talons. He yells as it starts batting its wings and ejects his spikes into its chest. Telmus collapses against the tree as it starts coming back to get him.

Jax continues down the tunnel, trying not to think about how he is technicaly INSIDE a living thing. He eventually entered what seemed to be a large vaulted chamber, he couldnt see the ceiling but felt as if he was being watched. Suddenly he had a massive feeling of Deja-vu and felt ice cold, he slowly looked up and in the darkness a single massive eye opened up...

While the rookies are facing their greatest fears,
"Mogo, last time I was on Earth with Lantern Jordan, he showed me a game." Stel as he takes out a deck of playing cards, "It is called poker"

Telmus yells as the hawk advances with it's razor sharp talons. Telmus Roars and summons up a large lance of energy which he impales the monster on. He shudders as it falls to the ground dead. Telmus backs away from the body and lays against a tree,].

Jax knew exactly what he was looking at, as the eye stared at him all the memories he held back came rushing back. The massive darkness above him was THE Praetorian, one of the stongest psychic forces in the known universe, it was also the one that ordered his exile.

"If your the one I remember" he said, his voice wavering slightly "then where is it?" Almost as if on cue a rotting insect-like form stood up from it's crouch in the middle of the room, it moved jerkily as if it was a puppet and a unseen force was pulling its strings. Which was pretty much what it was.
Jax sent a blast of energy at it but the thing only folded up for a second before it was sent flying at him, screaming violently.

"I believe I win again Lantern Mogo" said Stel laying out his straight royal flush.
"I believe you have" says Mogo

Jax made a projection of a sword and sliced the thing mid-leap, and it fel to the ground in two pieces. He knew that couldnt be it but felt relieved all the same, suddenly a great invisible force grabbed him and started shaking him around like a rag-doll. It swung him across the room before slamming him into a wall and letting him drop.
It's toying with me he thought as he stared back at the unblinking red eye still boring into him.

He made a dash to the center of the room and was quickly lifted up again, thats right, little closer he thought as he quickly made a projection of a large spear and launched it right into it's eye

"Lanterns your training is complete report back to me, well done." said Stel

Telmus shuddered once more before walking back to stel. "That was Creepy" He admitted as he sat against another tree to get off his wobbly legs.

"The point of this exercise was for you to be able to feel fear and overcome that fear, you all did very well" said Mogo

 

[Zirat]

When the massive form above him disapeared so did the force that suspended him in the air and he began to drop back to the floor. Thinking quickly he makes a large mattres to break his fall, once back on the ground he found a passage conveniantley leading back to where Stel was

He puts his goggles back on and steps out to join the others "okay, lets never speak of this again"

"I didn't do very well. I got beaten up by my fear." Dan said glumly, rubbing his head.

"That is true Lantern Freeman, but you faced it head on that is overcoming great far." said Stel

"No i didn't. Don't lie to try and make me feel good."

"Lantern Freeman I am many things but I would never try to make you feel better, I only speak the truth to you" said Stel.
"Though your grammer is deplorable." said Mogo
