Your right to use the Minsc picture has officially been revoked on the grounds of A: Supporting villainy and B: Passing up a golden opportunity for a Minsc quote, namely:

As for the review I think it would be more appropriate to say you'll never read one of Greg's reviews as opposed to a whole websites.

Lol. Just... lol. I barely want to contribute to this thread, but watching the OP's responses makes me want to wait for when he says 'reviews should be objective' so I can go in for the killing blow. (I jest, honest(don't kill me pls))

Seriously though, it's Greg's opinion. You could say 'how can anyone dislike Cumberland sausages? they're made from the finest meat in all the land!' but in reality, that'd be a fucked up statement to make, even if it's really nice tasting. People can simply not agree with you, even if you can't understand it.

The guy is just expressing himself like everyone else does in forums. Thats why they are called forums.
You forget the purpose of forums: Discussion.

There's a difference between expression that warrants participation in discussion, and someone's rant.
What is there to say besides. "Yeah, that Greg guy has no credibility." or "Cool story bro"?

It seems more like someone rubbing a sore spot, given the ridiculous "outrage" Greg received over his review of GTA5.

Relax and calling the mods to lock something is a bit childish.
Relax and...what?

Your lack of traffic shall surely be this site's downfall. As your eyes turn away, the numbers slowly fall until there is nothing but critically inert dust and you shall sit in your throne, presiding over a better world ready to be born. Your bravery, your heroism even, surely brought the flood that washed away all the poor writers, the bad critics, those with broken eyes for art and analysis. You, you brought about this Golden Age, with your tides that allowed new, lush forests of intellect to blossom forth. We have you to thank for this, but not now. You will be a hero in time. We will not understand what this means for years, but when those years fade away we will be in a greater world.

A better world. Thank you.
I'm assuming you stole/appropriated this from elsewhere, but it was hilarious nonetheless.

It's like buying a book from a book store, hating the author, and saying "I'll never read anything from that book store ever again!".
...you mean most people don't do that? I think I have to go do some apologizing.

Please, sir, have some faith. I made it up on the spot. I suppose the OP provided enough delicious, bitter, tear stained ammunition.
Well then I applaud you, and I am sorry for assuming it was borrowed material. Please accept this sack of lemons by way of apology.

Mods, please lock the thread.
Just to let you know, most Mods don't read every thread on the forum. If you want us to see something, you have to report it.

However, if you want a thread locked, it's better to post in the Moderation User Group or PM one of us direct.

Although usually we don't lock the thread unless it's getting way too many reports, or if the OP themselves asks for it to be locked.

Since other people are asking for it to be left open, I'm going to let it continue a bit longer, and just keep an eye on things here in general.

I?m inclined to agree the protagonists in GTA5 are more complex than what they appear on the surface, more misguided than truly evil. There is not a shred of virtue in any of them though and that as much is true, but that actually makes them much more interesting to me. GTA5 entirely takes place in a grey area where people's ambitions are only fueled by selfish reasons. Be they money(Franklin), excitement(Michael) or anger(Trevor). Well Trevor probably has some more deep-seated issues. :p But at the same time these ?villains? are in no way worse than the government agencies who try to ?stop? them but at the same time condone torture and sloppy intelligence work just to move up the career ladder. Rockstar envisioned such a unique perspective for the story of GTA5 that it can truly be called groundbreaking, away from the tired old routine of heroes vs villains. It?s a form of sincere storytelling that isn?t politically correct, and doesn?t need to be. Doesn?t pretend to be either. However there is a subtext of clever wit and intelligent satire that gives the direction of the story a clear purpose. One not constrained by tired old tropes.

Been playing the game a lot and it?s just fantastic. From gameplay to setting to story. One, if not the most fun, interesting and exciting games I?ve ever played. Amazing achievement and a huge leap for videogames in general. Near impossible to surpass.
