ps- Creating your own characters will be endlessly more fulfilling than getting people to make them for you on an internet forum. If you come up with your own concepts you'll understand them better, feel more connected them as your creations, write them better, and you'll get practice coming up with motivated and flawed (in other words, interesting) characters.
If someone else makes up your characters for you... you're just writing fanfiction.

I do have to agree with this though, it seems really lazy to ask people to make you characters, especially when you'll get quite a few joke characters.

Cause of death: Strangled on 21st birthday by his father
Symbol: Single Candle, surrounded by thorned vines
Weapon of choice: Barbed wire fashioned into a whip
Reaping method: Attacks with the whip, the barbs causing your flesh to become caught. He then pulls you closer toward him. From here, he pins you down and slowly chokes you whilst muttering "Oh Father, forgive me, for I have sinned. I mean not the things I do"
Design: Black, practical trousers, tough leather boots and an open trenchcoat. His flesh is dessicated and withered, and his chest bears the signs of ritualistic scarring. The flesh of his throat is gone, torn away when his father tore out his windpipe.

He is referred to as the "candle stopper".
He is messed up because he only reaps to seek his long-dead Father's approval.
If he is asked to do something, he will repeat the question to himself before responding. He does this because he believes that the voices in his head are those of his father, and he is seeking his father's approval before taking action, in the hope that his father will explain why he killed him if he obeys.

I made a thread like this a few months ago for another story I had made, and now I have a new one, and I want suggestions.

Basically, make me up some grim reapers. These are some conditions:

1.Grim reapers are people who have died, so make up a way they died. Make it as strange as possible, but still realistic.
2. You CAN give them an actual name, but they forget it anyway and take on another code name. It must be a Greek mythological or famous name (The main one is Eris, and one Aristole for Aristotle).
3. Give them a symbol. The grim reaper is referenced in that way (EX. Skull Reaper Eris, and her symbol is skulls). Skulls and stars are taken.
4. Give them a weapon. Grim reapers reap by using that weapon on you to take your soul, and then that person dies. Beretta M9 pistols and bow and arrows are taken.
5. Make them bad and good. If you were good, you went to heaven, hell if you were bad. If you were in the middle, you became a grim reaper.
6. Give them a design. They can be whatever age. They can have whatever kind of personality, but again make them realistic. Aside from that, make them as messed up as possible. For all I care, make a 20-year-old woman a sex and Meth addict.

That's it! You don't have to do ALL of the conditions, but give me suggestions on each of them. I'll point out this is an anime-like story. You can use pictures to give me an idea.

P.S. If you want, make some other non-grim reaper characters. But I mostly need grim reapers.

Appearance: Tall and emaciated, he wears a tall black top hat, a long black coat with dark grey trousers. He is always seen with his cane and a gold wrist watch which is always stuck on one particular time.

Personality: In life he was serious and rarely left his estate but his un-death he has become a reckless joker. He is still incredibly old fashioned and refers to anything electronic as an ?infernal contraption? He is immensely stubborn and always insists on having the last word, seems uncomfortable in crowded spaces.

Past Life: Lord Ignatius Peverall inherited his father?s estate at a very young age meaning he was trapped in its affairs and rarely got out much. This lead to him developing a dislike of crowded and noisy places considering he spent most of his time in an empty manor. He died at the age of 33 when a big company attempted to buy his land to build a facility. Ignatius refused every single offer even though the estate was going downhill and he was running out of money. The company finally sought to drive him out by hiring a thug to burn his manor down, asleep at the time Ignatius perished in the fire and returned as Damasen.

His name is helios. He is named for the greek god of the sun. He is surrounded by a carona of light and his symbol is a roaring sun burst. His eyes seem to contain a dazzling light. He wields a draich, a sort of polarm with a fork at one end and a blade at the other also aflame. He is a harsh but fair reaper, burning away your outer surface to reveal your true self. Nothing escapes illumation. Should you pass judgement he takes you off in wings of liquid fire. He was a young troubled man who often looked on at the sun and envied its warmness and its ability to bring light to all. How basked in its radience. He wished to have that influence. To try and emulate it he climbed a mountain, and stared up into the suns depths expecting illumination. He found pain and blindness. Cursing the sun for its betrayal he fell from the mountain, clutching his eyes and screaming. Thus helios came into being.

His name is Jack Reddington, but usually goes by the nickname Jack Hackish. He is often known as 'The Last Gambler'.

His weapon is an unusually well-polished switchblade knife.

Being the classy 1930's gambling type, he dresses in a black pinstripe suit with a red tie, decorated with brass cufflinks and tie clip. Black hair slicked back in that classic style, a toothpick clenched between his teeth bared in a smug grin. His eyes, once shining a dark shade of brown, now gleam an unsettling hue of green.

During his life, he was ever the con man, always cheating people and businesses out of their hard-earned money. Clever and quick witted, he was always one step ahead of those who would try and take his life in exchange. Being the cocky smartass he was, he decided to try his 'luck' in Vegas, only to meet a swift and cruel end. Since then, his raging cheek has dulled considerably, though he still enjoys being smart when given the chance. His smug attitude has gotten worse, since he now has a new angle. Many people try and cheat death at every turn, but he never sweats it. In matters of life and death, the house always wins.

Feeling especially smug and cocky one fine Friday morn, Jack decided to make his way to Vegas to ply his trade at the tables. He was always one step ahead of his collectors, and thought he always would be. Unfortunately, his reputation was two steps ahead of him. After cheating a particularly wealthy mob boss, a hit was quickly placed on his head. News spread to Vegas quickly, and the casinos kept a sharp eye out for Jack. The mob's goons spotted him when he walked through the doors, and 'politely' leading him away from the crowds after a series of 'lucky' streaks at the tables. Once tied to a chair in a back room, the very same mob boss he had cheated before would force a stack of $500 poker chips down Jack's throat, choking him to death. He got the money he sought from Vegas, but never got the chance to spend it.

His name was Joseph Harper and he is the Reaper of war. (original, I know...)

He was around 30 when he was killed; he had done bad in his life, such as murder, drugs and gun smuggling, his death pushed him from hell to 'Reaperdom'. In a small town in Afghanistan, Y coy of the Rifles was securing the buildings and evacuating the civilians from an impending assault by the neighbouring tribes. As the final truck was pulling away, laden with civilians and wounded riflemen, Harper noticed a movement out of the corner of his eye. Leaping from where he was standing, he just managed to reach it in time: the RPG exploded upon contact with his chest, tearing him in half and killing him instantly. The fifteen civilians had him to thank.

His first act as a Reaper was to take the soul of the militiamen who had fired the RPG. From then on, despite his cold and hard demeanour during life he weeped often as Youens company, his list of friends, slowly diminished before being merged with S Coy.

His symbol is a heart, stabbed by 5 Xiphos, the number of people he directly or indirectly killed during his time on earth - 2 insurgents (direct), one fellow soldier (indirect), one person who refused to pay protection (direct), one illegal imigrant (indirect).

His weapon is a HKSA80 A2, modified with a SUSAT scope and a unique 10 round magazine.

His code name is Menoetius - the Titan of violent anger, rash action, and human mortality. Killed by Zeus.

I make up a lot of stories, and for pretty much all of them I make up my own characters. I decided that since I was having trouble making some characters for this one, I asked for some advice. These probably won't even be main characters, albeit possibly recurring, and I'm changing a bit of the suggestions I take to make to have them fit this story better. I currently have on my computer 18 stories, two of which probably have over 20 original characters. I hope you understand how I find this insulting.
