Starting off i don't hate the ending ( ending C )

but i was a little disappointed in the " death wish " ending being far too easy to complete.

I personally would have loved to see a very hard mission to keep everyone alive.
If a player fails the mission or dies.

thats it its over save is over written and thats your ending

For an example. Franklyn driving to a location. happens to crash and die. instant bad ending everyone else dies.

he gets there late . everyone dies no do overs its done and final.
manage F and T missions but fail M then Micheals dead and the others live

I'd like to see a death wish or a suicide mission that really drove it home with if you fail the game ends and your done and have your ending.

Just my wanting something slightly different.

and on that note a female protagonist would be good.

your thoughts?

Oh god no, I would absolutely hate that. On paper, it might be alright, but one cheap death in the LAST mission and you can never play that character again for some post-game wrap-up missions or just mindless mayhem? No thank you. GTA V is absolutely amazing, but I have had my share of really really cheap deaths and would hate to have that happen at the very end.

Without playing out the other two options, I will say that I wish the final mission had more fluidity to it. The whole "choose an option" from the cellphone menu just felt really rudimentary and really took me out of the immersion. What would've been cool is to have the mission start and see the locations of ALL targets on the map, including Michael and Trevor. Then you basically freeroam as Franklin and try to use any mechanic within the game world to take out targets. And all the targets would be contacts in your phone. You can enlist Michael or Trevor to help take out particular targets, or send them into a trap to meet their fate. As long as a) deathwish targets die b) Michael dies c) Trevor dies, or d) any combination of the above dies, the endgame is accomplished. I think it would be pretty cool to call up all the targets to send them to the same location, then have it be an all out war and you merely have to stand idly by and pick off the survivors.

All that being said, I actually really enjoyed the Deathwish mission. Many folks felt it was rushed, but I got really reminiscent of the ending of Godfather Part 1, killing all opposition in one fell swoop.

The assassination missions with frank gave you some planning whereas deathwish just kinda said "go to point X and kills so and so" they werent that challenging except the triad one caught me out and he got away. It was a nice ending for the trio. These guys are obviously bad dudes but the guy they kill are worse

What annoyed me most about the ending was one thing about the final heist. Stealing security van...check, Stealing gold...check, getting away on identical cars...check, using the traffic lights to get away...check and driving into a truck...check. this has all the makings of the italian job except i had to use those stupid muscle cars. I wanted to use minis instead

It's not Mass Effect. It's a fun sandbox game. Giving the players an equally as accomplishable option to keep everyone alive was a damn near necessity and I'm glad they did it.

What I think is weird is that the 'Deathwish' ending is so much better than the other two, but you just get to pick it from a list. Normally when games have multiple endings, it's either a choice of 3 equal options right at the end, or good/bad endings that you work your way towards throughout the game. GTAV has a choice of two bad endings and an awesome ending.

And it is awesome. Yes, it may be a bit scripted, but if you've been engaged in the story and the characters, then it was a perfect way to wrap up the loose ends and bring the gang together for one last, big showdown. Of course that's just my opinion.

Eh...

It wasn't bad, but my no means is it an ending that's good enough that in a few years time people will be holding it up as an example. It was satisfactory. It did its job.

The main issue with it is that while some say it felt like some swoop that took out all the problems, it really didn't. Having it be some great move would have it a bit more built up and a bit more planning going into it. As it stands, it felt somewhat anticlimactic taking out all the main antagonists with no real struggle. There was nothing of note to any of them. You just ran up to them, blew apart their light security, then switched onto the next one to rinse and repeat.

Honestly, I think the biggest flaw was going with the multiple endings. I feel whatever resources that were put into the alternate endings of taking Trevor and Michael out (Because really, who is going to go with those endings when it cuts off a lot of potential free roaming after the fact) should have been put into the real finale. I don't know, while Stretch was taken care of fairly appropriately since he was some low level gangster, and the assassination of Haines on his own show by Trevor was satisfying, Wei Cheng and Devin Weston felt pretty bland. Kidnapping Devin at the end felt great, but it felt like nothing to get to either of these supposedly powerful people. All that stood between these men of supposed high power and the protagonists the entire game it turns out were a few lowly grunts and not much else, not to mention, both kinda felt underplayed for most of the game compared to most other characters.

I dunno, I was just hoping to have something that felt a bit like I was storming the castle to take down my greatest foes, rather than taking care of a few chores that had been put off for a while. Something that would make me have all three characters wrecking absolute hell to accomplish what they needed, giving me reasons to break out all my weapons to try and take 'em down.

I went in obvious (I was gonna get police either way, might as well go out with a bang!) The subtle approach seemed like more trouble than it was worth.

It was great, flying through the wind turbine field, escaping through town to the getaway, drilling through the wall to the vault, it felt better than doing it the subtle way (you get more money too as long as you choose a competent driver for the helicopter)

I thought the Deathwish ending was good, all loose ends tied up, all enemies dead, our heroes ride off into the sunset, Michael and Trevor make up, it was great.
The subtle ending was really good. You only loose 30k because you pay off the security van driver. Provided you have a good gunman and a good driver then you dont lose a penny. Like i said it was almost identical to the italian job (not the remake) which is one of my favourite films ever. Like i said it wouldve been perfect if i could have 3 identical minis (minis are genuinely good in the game if you mod them) instead of the muscle cars

I agree that death wish was the perfect ending. It was like the breaking bad ending (no spoilers). Everything is wrapped up and no stone is left unturned. Death wish had the strangers on the train vibe where everyone killed the other persons antagonist
