GTA V multiple playable characters got me thinking

for those of you who live under a rock. A lot of new GTA info has been released lately and im very excited for the game to be released after reading this new info. one of the things im most excited about is that there is 3 playable characters (mr runny runny shooty shooty, mr sit on a deck chair 3 miles aways and blow your head off and mr nutjob)

these characters are a trio of criminals and they perform danny ocean style heists together and you can switch between each character on the fly however they all have to survive to complete the mission

this got me thinking why doesnt someone make an A-team game like this, you have 4 characters each with unique abilities and personalities. this missions are garunteed to be interesting (weve all seen the famous cabbage/lettuce gun), the dialogue would be hilarious and the soundtrack would be amazing.

if you can think of any reason why this game should not be made then you probably have no soul

Sounds like something that Overstrike would have been, but they've made it duller looking, more cover-based and called it "Fuse".

everything needs to be dull and have chest high walls these days to sell

fuck chest high walls. i want an A-team game where i can fly a jet through some valleys as murdoch and then switch to hannibal and eject out the back take out some bad guys on the way down and land in B.A's van... whilst the fools that ive just taken out are pitied for being suckers

Yeah I don't like it if that's how the new GTA works. Why introduce squad based combat five games in? I guess it might be cool if you can do the story multi-player but other than that it seems really stupid.

The A-Team was ridiculous when it was on TV and I don't think putting it into video game format would result in anything but an utter catastrophe. That said I was never a fan of the A-Team so I'm probably not their target audience.

I dont think it'll be squad based combat, it's just your characters all work together, and pull heists. You'll probably just play as one character during missions with the other protagonists, and they'll be completely AI controlled like team mates in previous GTA games

Its not really squad based. You can just switch charakters during missions at specific times. Like one charakter is flying a helicopter and the other is shooting out of it. You then have the opportunity to choose between flying and shooting. There will also be missions where you are alone or just a duo.
