Of course it will succeed it looks fucking awesome. Got mine pre-ordered can't wait! CANNOT FUCKING WAIT!

I follow up on GW2 info constantly. I think they are relly getting it. Most good sequels start like this: "so, what can we improve on from the first game and still keep the fun parts?" (lets try to forget bout the sequels that begin like this: "so? how many titles can we squeeze outta this one?"). GW" on the other hand seems to have started devlopment like this: "so, what can we improve on in this entire genre of games, while still keeping the spirit of our own game?".
This is why i think that GW2 will be the Definite MMORPG, and possibly the one game i will need to actually buy to keep me entertained (cant afford to buy every cool game that comes out). Like The Old Republic, GW2 is not fighting WOW (which is the best of its type of MMORPG) on tis own turf, but rather creating a new turf to see if ppl are more inclined to play their kind of games. Except unlike TOR (im liking the looks of tht one too), insted of making a few changes and trying to be different, GW" simply take all the major complaints and problems with all WOW-type games, and fixes them (class requirements, major bosses simply respawning,the mundaneness of most quests, the tediousness of having to take quests to achieve anything, and the fear of other players taking ur , kills, loot n experience). Then they add some of their own twist to improve on some critical parts of these types of games that aren't traditionally seen as problems (fighting mechanics). Add to all of this a lack of pay-per month, in exchange for paying full-price for the game, and you have the best MMORPG experience in the making.

Can't wait! (actully i want them to spend as much time as they need on this, don't want it to be rushed towards the end. APB is dead u know)
EDIT: One more thing. GW2 has a level cap of 80, but unlike all other RPGs, the leveling is NOT exponential. After the first few levels, the amount of experience needed for the next level remains constant. This is an amazingly simple fix that no-one seems to have thought of until now. Making the points required for next level exponential, doesn't make the difficulty exponential, it only adds unnecessary grind (as most ppl who've reached lvl 80 in WOW know). I enjoy leveling up, so i was kinda sad that GW1 only had 20 lvls, even if i totally got the reason why (concentrate on fun rather than grind). This is the best solution ive seen so far to this problem.

Also, considering GW1, there will almost assuredly be a "Collector's Edition", though the retailers don't have codes for them yet... Mine's already paid off (yay reverse-layaway!), so when they DO announce the CE, I can dump that credit into the new reserve and pay a "reduced cost" (i know it's not actually reduced). Everything I see, hear, and read about this game makes it seem more and more epic and awesome. I strongly encourage everyone even remotely interested in this game (even if it's just to bash the game and say "hur hur WoW iz bettur") to poke around the ArenaNet Blog [http://www.arena.net/blog], the official website [http://www.guildwars2.com], and the fan-made Wiki page [http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild_Wars_2].
