Apparently, since I bought my copy, we talk about whatever we damn well please. Thats essentially what it says once you open the forums. I don't have to do [DATA EXPUNGED] because a monkey. Apparently its now "Open Beta" that you can pay for.

But the monkey was [data expunged] sexually [data expunged] rhino so thats why Arena Net got rid of the NDA.

TRY ALL THE CLASSES!!

Get them all to the stage where I've tried each weapon available, and got a general feel of how it's going, then pick my favourite and second favourite. Will leave the former till release, and play the latter to explore / mess around.

Any proof because PC Gamer did the starting zone of the Asura, so I'm pretty sure it will be in there.

There was a dev post saying they weren't going to be in. But yeah I saw that PC Gamer article and it was surprising because I had assumed the races weren't in because they weren't ready yet.

To be honest I cant be fucked to download the beta just for these 2 days or however long it is.

There is multiple beta's, not just this weekend. And I believe the Beta Client will upgrade to full version, and if you prepurchaed, 3 days early.

To my knowledge the previous Betas were standalone. With the pre-purchases this will be the first beta where players roll official accounts linked to GW1.

Also, it seems like deluxe edition items will be accessible in the Beta.

It might not be a sure thing but enough signs point to yes that I think it's worth trying.

Well the HoM stuff can only be obtained by going to the HoM.

the HoM wasn't in the first beta, or so I was told, and this beta doesn't have any new areas with it either, bsedies Lions Arch, so.......

Also anet previously stated they will wipe characters between every beta, which makes getting the items even more pointless.

It was mention on GW2 Facebook that the NDA is no longer apply to the upcoming beta (something about being a open beta or something like that). EDIT- Here's the lnik saying it's a open beta so it's not bound to the NDA http://www.arena.net/blog/the-beta-weekend-event-is-coming

Well my plan was to play all 8 professions however due to unforeseen circumstance (I was planning to watch The Avengers on Thursday but now I'm watching it on Saturday instead) I will try to play most of them starting the professions I want to play the most (Thief, Necromancer, Mesmer, Warrior, Ranger and maybe Engineer.

Trying to play all 8 is a large feat so I can only really spend around 3 hours per characters (I'm not too hardcore to stay up all night). Yeah I wouldn't get far into the game but my main intention is to get a feel for each professions so that way once the game is out I will be confortable playing the profession I liked without any doubt of choosing the other instead. I can make up for it once they hold another beta at end of May.

Anyway at the beta openning I going to make a human thief first than a Charr Nercomancer, Norn warrior and after that I will just mix it up abit.

Do I need to pre-order to play Guild Wars 2 or does it just guarantee me a spot in the beta?

Pre-purchasing (not pre-ordering) is the only way to get a guaranteed spot in the beta weekend events. However, if you signed up for the beta back when signups were open, there's still a chance you could get randomly selected.

Human Ranger as I did the GW, I will make him the same name and then I shall own once more. But hopefully the game has more freedom this time around.

And I still don't like the idea of guns. Oh well...my bow and arrow will teach them and can I use dual wield swords so I can become Legolas from LOTR?

You can't. Rangers can also wield dual axes. Aawww yeahhh!

Edit: You cannot dual-wield swords as a Ranger, dual axes are still a go.
