Potential for a new Hellboy movie? That type of news excites me. I'm a bit surprised though as while the first two were profitable, they weren't huge hits. Still, sign me up for more.

As longt as we still get Pacific Rim this is good news.

Although honestly I'd still rather have At The Mountains of Madness.

Hellboy 2 was kinda overkill, so let's hope they reign it in a bit in the threquel.

Fuck yes this is good news. I loved the first two films, own them, so I can't wait for the third. But what about Selma Blair, Doug Jones and of course Jeffery Tambor? Hellboy, being the main character, is obviously important but I feel that it wouldn't be a Hellboy film without the suppourting characters that have been with him the entire journey.
yes, you definitely need these people back, or the cast won't feel right. And any chance of roger the homunculus?

The first two movies were really set up to have this unbelievable resolve. Everything that was done in both movies was leading up to this destiny, written in stone, of what Hellboy has been summoned to Earth to do. To not do it, particularly in light of the scope that Guillermo is thinking of for the resolve, would be in my mind a little bit of a shame.
I will be sorely disappointed if Hellboy doesn't fulfill his destiny. Hollywood spends trillions on stories involving heroes not being able to escape their destinies, it would be insulting to suddenly change that simply because it's not a heroic one. But this is hollywood we're talking about, so my "fuck you" is coming this early.

Hollywood, fuck you for butchering the story and the idea. Because we both know you're going to do it.

I saw articles saying it wouldnt happen so this is good.
Glad toros off his "Im too busy with other stuff" kick to finish the series.
I think he wanted to do mountains of madness but cmon nobody really cares about that...Hellboy!
though pacific rim is lookin coooooll...but I need closure on this series.
I think he also want to do a frankenstein, hes ambitious and I love that but finish hellboy.
I'll have you know that I would kill to see Del Toro's At the Mountains of Madness.

On topic, I am very excited to see the next installment in one of my favourite film series.
Then watch prometheus for the time being its basically the same. Toros would be way better but I wants hellboy.
You obviously haven't read 'At the Mountains of Madness'. I've seen Prometheus and while some things are thematically similar, the narrative structure, atmosphere and the setting are completely different. And I'm not saying I don't want to see Hellboy 3, far from it. I'm merely refuting your original point that 'nobody really cares' about 'At the Mountains of Madness'.

I like Ron Pearlman, but Hellboy 2 just sucked. Please Hollywood can we have some original action/adventure IPs now?

Cool, I was getting worried they were never going to make a third one.

Oh hell yeah. Been looking forward to hearing if we'd get a third movie, thought it would have been sooner after Del Toro pulled out of the Hobbit movies.

Well that's great news, I loved the first Hellboy, it's great and it seems to get better every time I watch it, #2 I remember liking but I haven't seen in since I saw it on the movie theatre, can't say I remember much of it other than some basic plot elements, but a third one should be great, and quite a timely announcement just yesterday when I was watching Hellboy I was wondering why they weren't doing a third one.

This is great! I still haven't seen Hellboy 2, but I really liked Hellboy.
See the second, do it. Rmember how much supernatural shit you see in the first? (Or more, lack of) The second quadruples that and makes it look amazing.
