I was thinking about reading them. Are they worth it?

OT: I guess staying up late. Everything I do is much better when I think I should be asleep. As long as O have nothing to do the following day anyway.
Short answer: yes.

If you're interested in complex plots, incredibly well developed characters and an intelligence that keeps you working for your answers, read them.

Although, Claymore is worth a look too =D
Sounds very interesting indeed; I will buy the first one and see how it goes.

I'll give Claymore a look as well. It can't hurt to quickly look it up on MAL
Bear with the books for a bit, everything changes at the end, and A Song Of Ice And Fire kicks it into high gear, and really begins.

In regard to Claymore, beware the gecko ending, but otherwise, enjoy =)

JRPG's: So taboo with my friends.
Anime: Same as above; guys are hardcore PC gamers, don't like Anime for some reason
My Chemical Romance: I even BOUGHT the Danger Days album
I'm a Furry: Taboo just about everywhere, so I'm guilty and proud.
Oh, and I always seem to buy obscure but great video games, like Atelier Iris and Drakengard...again, very taboo

This is awesome, thank you.
I can't take credit for finding this video, as I myself was introduced to it by someone here from the escapist...

Though I have to say, I alternate between using the words 'introduced to' and the words 'afflicted by'.

Tbh, the Twilight saga, a very secret and guilty pleasure. I find it entertaining, plus I like the actual actors who play the characters so it's like watching a friend in a play or something, you think about their performance and how it's all coming together a fair bit, I don't know it's hard to explain. Might stem from me having stopped acting a few years back and missing all those experiences that went with it, and being able to relate to the casts portrayal of things because they're of a similar age group.

I think pretty much everyone who says they hate glee watches and adores every second of it. Kinda similar with me, except I don't hate it.

Crank 1 and 2 can easily be defined as a guilty pleasure. They're brilliant films, but everyone hates them, because they're not realistic and possible and such, to which I say, shut up and watch Jason Statham punch someone in the face.

I used to watch every episode of "totally spies".Underneath all the girly stereotypical things, It was a decent spy show, and I didn't mind that I was watching what was defined as "a girl's show", because it was just GOOD. Y'know?

Music: How about 90% of my Mp3 player is filled with game soundtracks, and how I can almost sing the entire megman rap.
TV: Come Dine with Me, my god is it addictive.
Film: That S Club 7 film, can't recall it's name. The first Pokemon film, and Digimon as well (You find me any other film where mech monsters fight an internet virus)
Games: Hamtaro on the GBA. My sister had it and got stuck on one bit, being the kind older brother I took it and helped her past that part, then proceeded to finish the entire game. It's just so adorable!
Misc: How much work I put into any nerd-like thing. My magic cards are arranged by colour, type of card, cost of card (With pure colour costing more than colourless in a tie) and rarity. How I've made a spreadsheet for my DnD characters so everything updates for them realtime, or how I'm making my own steampunk variant rules. How I've absoloutely decimated Final Fantasy IX again and again, and my near encyclopedic knowledge of the pokemon games.

I've never understood "guilty pleasures." If I like something, I like it. There's nothing I'm ashamed of liking other than things that just simply cannot be brought up in normal conversations. However, these are private things and are not something that is a "guilty pleasure." If I like it, I like it.

Paul Veerhoven's Starship Troopers is one of my favourite movies of all time. If that's not a guilty pleasure I don't know what is.

Oh. Right. The Star Wars Prequels. NOT THAT BAD, QUITE ENJOYABLE. Guilty as hell.

I watched Misfits and liked it, and I can't tell anyone I know because they all hate it and think only 'Chavs' watch it.

I watch toy reviews, just watch them. I don't have any toys, action figures, or models, but I watch the reviews for them. I used to play them in the backround while doing homework since I need some sort of noise to concentrate. I used to use bad movie commentaries. But now I find myself watching the things on their own. I'm also afraid the second I get a steady income and a credit card I'm going to go bankrupt on revoltechs.
