What games do you play, but never admit to it, or wouldn't really defend if someone started talking shit about it.
Mine personally is dragon age 2 and yugioh duelist of the rose

Amongst the general public I definitely would keep the fact that I played WoW for like 6 years a secret.

As for the topic title, I'd have to just go with searching out sexy mods. Yep. I rarely use them because for the most part they are tasteless and crass... but...

I don't do guilt.

I am my tastes and desires. My desire is my ideology and my ideology is my desire.

Never would I accept what I love in life as inferior.

lets see: Armored Core: Silent Line, Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus and Deadly Premonition are my three main guilty pleasures.

Same. Although I'm a casual WoW player at best (less than 12 paid months in the last 4 years) I'll understate even that level of involvement if I'm talking to non-gamers. Same can be said of MMOs in general - given the reaction is often like I'd just said I was a heroin addict.

However online, in forums etc, I often get a kick out of defending the indefensible. I'll even admit to having had an active account in Second Life for the last 4 years.

I like both Kane and Lynch games more than I should.
I only rented Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, and i have yet to understand the hate. Yes, it's short and yes, the ending is highly anticlimatic (even though i'd argue the actual "Showdown" is pretty cool), but i liked the style, i liked the story, i liked the mechanics, and i had a pretty good time with the few hours the game takes to beat.

Other than that, i don't know really what to say. I don't love a game that is really, truely, universially hated. I TRIED to love the new Alone in the Dark, but i eventually had to admit that it sucks pretty hard (...and F**K YOU ANYWAY).
I adore Mirrors Edge wich always gets a lot of criticism i don't understand, but i'm not the only one.
I also liked Bulletstorm and the new Aliens vs. Predator (even though AvP2 was MUCH better), but i don't think that qualifies as a guilty pleasure.
...I love doing vocals on Rock Band and spent tons of money on the Games, Instruments and DLC (i even have LEGO Rock Band)...does that qualify as something i should feel guilty for?

Well, I'm a death metal singer, and guitarist. My friends aren't exactly the gamer type, but I wouldn't say there's anything I'm really ashamed of enjoying.... Although, that being said, I would never bring up the fact that I loved the hell out of Katawa Shoujo or attempt to explain it in normal conversation with anyone. That just couldn't end well at all.

For me, all games are a guilty pleasure.

Hardly anyone knows I play them and the people who do still have no idea just how into games I am.

Come to think of it, that's probably why I spend time on this site.

I dont think I really have any, if I feel a game is worth playing Ill defend it cos SOMETHING is clearly good about it. About the one one I can think of would be WoW but I gave that up ages ago now.

Kinda sounds like my thread.

Oh, as in gaming. Got it.

Halo: CE for the original Xbox. I tout myself as an anti-Halo player, but I love CE a lot. At camp, my friends all brought original Xbox's and all we played was the multiplayer via system link. Good times, good times.
