I think that if they made a Guitar Hero out of any of the bands I like, it would ruin the band. They'd start writing songs for the mainstream demographic instead of their hardcore demographic, and they would become lost to me.
You know... Dethklok was on Guitar Hero II... And they've gotten even better.
I'm not saying being in a Guitar Hero game would do that, but having an entire game about the band could have potentially devastating effects. It goes to your head.

I demand Guitar hero: Ted "The Mother Fucking Nuge" Nugent.

Stevie Ray Vaughn in fine too, althought they'll have problems for motion capture and stuff.

Also, screw you for not liking Van Halen!

Guitar Hero: Dream Theater.

Imagine that ************ on expert...

Or Guitar Hero: Punk. Even on hard and expert you'd still only use three buttons.

People please quit mentioning bands that have already contributed way more than enough songs to Guitar Hero/Rock Band/DLC. I'd hate to have the same songs in multiple games just so I can see the band +mo-cap mime it all out.

Why not Iced Earth, Opeth, Trivium and Nightwish or maybe a few more In Flames and Mastodon?

Guitar Hero Moody Blues

Seriously, how has this not been considered yet. They have so many great songs.

Nights in White Satin
Your Wildest Dreams
I Know You're Out There Somewhere
Vintage Wine
The Other Side of Life
Forever Autumn
Bless the Wings (That Bring You Back)
Foolish Love

I could go on for fucking days.

None. Seriously, I have expressed this opinion before in previous threads, but I think single band games are a bad idea. I would not want to submit my friends to Rock Band Stevie Ray Vaughan or Guitar Hero The Who as much as I would not want them to submit me to Rock Band Disturbed or Guitar Hero *insert black metal band here*. Why would I want to subject a bunch of friends to a game filled exclusively with a band I like and the rest only kind of like if at all. Diversity is the key with Rock Band and Guitar Hero. Diversity explains how we can get together as a group of 8 and enjoy a bunch of songs, because I can enjoy Pinball Wizard and put up with Painkiller, while my metal friends can enjoy Down with the Sickness and tolerate playing Hungry Like the Wolf. Because for every song they only kind of like or have to tolerate, they can go and pick a song that they will enjoy.

Guitar Hero: Red Hot Chili Peppers
Guitar Hero: Judas Priest
Guitar Hero: Black Sabbath
Guitar Hero: Foo Fighters
Guitar Hero: Motorhead

Rock Band versions of all these titles are also acceptable.

Rockband: Mogwai. Great group and great music. Unfortunately, for all you head bangers out there, they are a Post-rock group. Meaning guitar, synths, drums and piano. Rockband doesn't have these instruments so obviously...

...they're going to need to make some.

Guitar Hero: Journey would be awesome...but a lot of fails, because Neil Schon is amazing.

Another less obvious one that I would love but I know won't happen is Guitar Hero: Queensryche. Queensryche is an amazing band, look them up on YouTube. Might I suggest "Take Hold of the Flame" or "Queen of the Reich"...or "Silent Lucidity" if you'd like their Monster Ballad. lol

Aerosmith, not my thing and Van Halen embodies my hatred for Glam Rock(leaves a foul taste just typing Glam Rock, yuck!)
They arn't that "glam" Whitesnake would be a better candidate for glam hate. I don't particularly care how bands look.

Guitar Hero: Buckethead.
It would be straaaaaaaaange, but very difficult.
The company would have to but metal reinforced parts into the guitars, playing Buckethead would put too much strain on those squeaky little plastic things.

That being said I would probably go Buckethead too. Guitar Hero: Michael Angelo Batio? Would make for an interesting controller and GUI during the songs. You could even play multiplayer on your own successfully.

Rock Band Shihad. Dumb choice because hardly anyne knows them. Still, I realised the other day that my iPod has 140 different Shihad songs on it and my collection isn't even complete. Pretty good for a band no-one's heard of. They've had a 21-22 year career so far and still going strong, they release a new album about once every two years, often changing genres, (first full album for example was industrial metal, one after that was thrash netal, then pop rock, then electronic-influenced hard rock and the three after that continued in that erratic kind of way.) Most of their songs are based on distinctive riffs and timings which would be ideal for a timing-based game like Rock Band...

... still, who would buy a Rock Band for a band they've never heard of? Oh well, a Shihad fan can dream.
