For those keeping track at home, we are now up to 5 songs that were already in other Guitar Hero games.

I got 6 and that's not even counting all of the songs that have appeared on Rock Band or Rocksmith.

You're right. I didn't realize "Na Na Na" had been a DLC song for Warriors of Rock. And I don't count Rock Band or Rocksmith, as they've had a TON of songs, and are from different series. I don't have a problem with them having songs that have been in another game series, but I am bothered by the number of songs that were in other games from the same series (or in the case of Message in a Bottle and Cowboys from Hell, TWO other Guitar Hero games, as they were both in Smash Hits).

I was really looking forward to this. Then after looking at the songs mentioned in this thread, I got depressed.

Then again, I do still have Rocksmith 2014 which not only has some of the songs I like on this list, but has way more in terms of DLC.

The songs announced don't really get me excited.

Painted Black was in Guitar Hero 3, and, while it was fun, it's been done. Cowboys of Hell was also in a previous Guitar Hero game. I was hoping for more classic rock and some 90s stuff like Alice in Chains or even early RHCP, but I guess not.

Not impressed, but that doesn't mean I won't play it at a party if it's there.

For real though, they could pull a playlist directly from my phone and I still wouldn't be interested. GHL looks like a HUGE step backwards.

It took me to The Black Keys to realize the format was band - song. Out of the above playlist though, I only know songs by like 2 of those bands. So this is what it's like being old...Anyway, I may be out of touch but Carrie Underwood? I thought she was country! I think I'll go back to lamenting the fact that Rock Band Japan doesn't exist...I may also download audiosurf can play some Seikima II tracks on it.

So here is the problem with this shit. Guitar Hero is clearly just pulling songs and artists that are popular, with no regard for what would fit in their game the best. I mean fuck guys look, the best stuff on this list has already been in Guitar Hero games.

This is supposed to be Guitar Hero LIVE man. That set list should be made of powerful and famous LIVE songs. And every song should be set up in those live venues shown on the demos. Not those stupid fucking music video tracks.

I hope Rock Band beats the crap out of GHL.
