Gun, has anyone played it?

I was thinking about getting that western game, Gun, which seems as a GTA clone... Has anyone played it? Is it any good? Seeing as it was developed by neversoft, I felt a bit "meh" about it, but I might consider getting it anyway. How is it? Is it worth to spend cash on?

Defo get it, not so great for the 'sandbox' element but for an all round experience i'd give it a firm 8/10

Gun for the 360 is currently $4.99 at my local blockbuster, but I played it when it first came out and I really liked it, though not enough to buy it.

Make sure to start out on the hardest difficulty. Anything else is way too easy. And I'm not one of those "play every game on the hardest difficulty" type of gamers. A fun game. It should be around $10 by now too. I'd say it's worth almost double that.

It froze and deleted my savegame about 80% of the way through and I never started playing again. I guess that's just a risk you always run when playing anything on a 360.

control wise and stylistically i thought Red Dead Revolver was better. However, Gun's open world environement and sloppy mechanics are fun in their own way. the dynamite loaded bow and arrow is probably one of the best weapons in a videogame.

Played it, completed it, its fun for a while, you can scalp people, which serves no purpose whatsoever, and random bandit attacks are always entertaining for a bit of target practice between missions, but its pretty easy for most of the game. Good voice acting tho.

I'm a spaghetti western fan, yet oddly have not played it yet. I didn't realize it was so frelling cheap now, I'll have to get it. (Another 10-30 hours of game to add to the queue)

I'm quite a western fan as my avatar implies. I was not very impressed with this game though. It was a big disappointment.

I would recommend Call of Juarez though. I really enjoyed that game.

Yeah, if you're in a position where you could get either Call of Juarez of even Red Dead Revolover get those over Gun. Gun is alright, just not as good as the other 2.

Not as good as Red Dead Revolver but it is a very good game, a bit short tho, and once the storyline and side quests are done thats it, no real fun in the sandbox play afterwards

Seconded on the Red Dead Revolver thing.

Gun was ok. The best bit about the game: You could shoot dogs.
