Considering I occasionally wake up in a half-dream state for about a minute during which I can walk around but can't think or act coherently I don't want any gun under my pillow or near my bed.

If I parafrase to "what gun do you think is cool", I'd take a Five-seveN or MP7 if size is a consideration, and a G36 or an FN F2000 if it isn't.

And if I had a portal gun, I wouldn't put it under my pillow, it would be on a shrine whenever I wasn't using it (not often).
