In high school nothing really big happened. We got put on code yellow lock down once because two hunters wandered onto school land without realizing it (the school is right next to a massive forest so I can understand their mistake).

Currently I go to Northern Illinois University, there was a very brutal shooting the year before I came here. My freshman year a guy got shot in one of the residence halls. Sophomore year a girl who lived on campus went missing, her burnt body was found in a forest off campus a few days later. Last wednesday night a guy got shot in the leg along the main road through campus.
Yeah I think I'd start packing up after the burned body incident or carrying a gun. A nice big AR-15 with bright orange camo.

No you just give them your evil ass native creatures. You ever been mugged with a freakin snake? Worst holiday ever.

OT: We had the KKK march on my school once. Something about gay students and satan. Faculty ended up suspending the entire (american)football team, they beat the shit out of some klan members.

Our campus went into lockdown a couple years ago after a gunman robbed a nearby credit exchange or something. It was pretty cool, we finally got to use our alert siren system that sounds like the Combine siren.

We were all sitting in school when the fire alarm goes off and the teachers get a call and start to panic. Nothing new in my school as we do this drill at least 2 times a month and kids are always pulling it but as the student body exits the school, they shoo all of us into the bleachers on the football field. We were wondering why we were sent here as opposed to our natural meeting spot. Later on we found out that the fridge in the cafeteria started leaking some sort of poisonous gas. Unfortunately, for those who left any form of clothing, or leather, or the such lost it because the chemicals got into the fibers and had to be decontaminated. Apparently, the fire alarm went off by accident but it was a good thing because if anybody had stayed in there for a few more minutes, they would have been poisoned. That is probably the most dramatic thing to happen to the school besides a few shootings near the school and a tire exploding in auto shop.

My middle school once had 13 bomb threats in one year, all of which were just tricks to get out of class, and several of which involved bomb squads.

We had a Bomb threat once not too long ago.

A couple of years ago, the school also got flooded massively, and everyone was able to leave school early. Which sucked anyway because it took ages for vehicles to plow their way through the amounts of water on the roads.

Luckily for me i took the day off. =)

Back in 05' I was in 5th grade and we went into lock down because someone outside was wearing a trench coat...turns out to have been my cousin waiting for me :p And last year my high school had a tornado come extremely close to the school and everyone was in the duck & cover position in the halls crying. xD

Some Black kid got caught here at Alpharetta High School with a little less than a kilo of marijuana.

EVERYONE here smokes weed, and they caught the master distributor.

Most exciting (and additionally annoying for me) was reports that one of the students had a gun in their locker. so the cops got brought in to search the whole building and all the lockers. The problem for me arose because I'm a martial arts instructor and I specialize in weapons and since I often went to go teach class immediately after school I often stored my gear in my locker (I had permission from the principal). So of course the cops are searching the lockers, find a handful of pocket knives, some sandwiches so old they might possibly count as biological weapons... then they get to mine and find two short staves, two katanas, a wakazashi, a tanto, pair of sai, pair of kama, throwing spikes, caltrops, a meteor hammer, some shuriken and a set of nunchucks... ended up getting arrested and it took forever to finally convince them that I was in fact allowed to have them (especially since the principal was on vacation that week and shuriken and nunchucks are illegal in my country unless you have a REALLY REALLY REALLY fucking good reason for owning them... which I did)

Hmm, one time an electrical company was doing maintenance on the power lines about 1/2 km from my school and some idiot drove the boom into live, exposed cables, frying himself.

Power went out at the school, left early.

Back in high school, one of the music department heads burnt some pop-tarts in his office (he wasn't supposed to have a toaster in there to begin with). This caused a two-hour evacuation while the fire department swept the entire building.

In their search, they discovered what a mess the band room was (loose paper, pieces of instruments, open bottles of trombone slide oil, assorted articles of clothing, all just lying around). The fire marshal declared it a fire hazard. So all of the bands spent their classes cleaning up the place to get it re-inspected before we could continue playing.

...All because the head of the music department burnt a pop-tart. We never let him live down.
Trombonists eh? eh? eh? AMIRITE?

I'm right.

The worst thing that happened at my school was a thief among our number. I'm a little jealous of all you guys.

Nothing exciting. In middle school, we got a day off because the railroad tracks behind the school were being used by a train carrying toxic nuclear waste. Yay day off!

Well lets see. My elementary school had a lady walk in and start one of the indoor plants on fire. She also went around people's houses and put poisoned food on their doorsteps in hopes kids will find them and eat them. That was about i think 4 years before i got there so i don't think that counts.

And at my High School, we have about 10 or so bomb threats a year. We have had 2 bank robberies as well this year about maybe 5 blocks or so away from my school. And that's as exciting as it gets for me.

something similar was told to me from my friend about her school except he lit his locker on fire to get out of an exam and it spread to six lockers and one of the lockers had a big bag of weed which caught fire they both got expelled from what I heard
now my school?...absolutely nothing happened while I was there

sophomore year of college the school was placed on lockdown for a few hours after somebody saw a guy with a rifle on campus. Turned out to be a cadet with a plastic drill rifle. If he'd been in uniform nobody would have noticed, because the cadets have various kinds of weaponry available (real and otherwise) for divers purposes.
