Some kid left a singing card open in his locker and when the battery started to die it made a ticking noise. Kid's locker was opened up by the janitors and he was brought to the principal's office. "Sir we heard this in your locker" *opens card* CAN'T TOUCH THIS DA NA NA NA DA NA NA. Kid was about to be suspended, but his dad was pretty quick. HE said if you suspend/expel my child I'm going to have the safety board (or whatever) ask why you didn't evacuate the school if you believed there was a bomb in my son's locker. They decided to drop the whole issue.

There was once a bomb scare at my school where a "bloody" (it turned out to be ketchup) kermit the frog puppet was left in the parking lot and for some reason word spread it was a bomb and they had to close the school for a day and the police used one of their robot bomb defusers only to discover it was just a kermit puppet. The school made a "kermit is DA BOMB" facebook group in commemoration. Unfortionatly I didn't get to witness any of it as it was just before I transferred there.

Our school went on lockdown for the cops to look for drugs a couple of times. This was a regular routine, sometimes it lasted longer than other times. That's the middle of nowhere for you...

I don't think anything too exciting ever happened, I think we had a couple substitute teachers fired because they were total pervs. One of them looked like Mr. Bean and the other was really loopy. When he taught a gym class, he went into full on drill sergeant mode in the most ludicrous way possible. Most of the time his behavior was really goofy though. I think he was religious too, in a computer class he told me and my friend (The only students in the class) that he thought they should teach lessons from the bible in school. My friend talked about how she wasn't religious (I wasn't either), I just nodded and kept watching my Naruto episode...

My architect school caught fire back in May, when people were finishing up their final projects for the year, some even their entire time in school. Took 26 hours to put it out, all while students stood outside, nervously asking "Will the firefighters be done soon? I need to go inside and work." Seriously. But the school survived and everything's peaches and gravy now. Also no-one set the building on fire or anything dramatic as that, the fire was caused by faulty wiring.

Waaay back in 1997, some kids shot up another kid at my high school. Also, my job used to be fighting in a war, which is mostly boring.

My current job, though? Nah. It's my job to be armed and look intimidating.

My school went on lockdown one day when some old lady at the strip mall across the street called the police when she saw someone carrying a gun in front of the school. A lockdown ensued for three hours while we sat cramped under our desks. Later on, we discovered that it was just a film student carrying a tripod. Ha ha ha, what a hi-larious misunderstanding.

Oooh, but so many interesting things have happened to my old school... like say the 'Fire alarms' and the 'Enrichment days'.
Nerve-racking if you ask me.

I guess there was that one time in which the students released a pig and it died...

Well yeah, my school burned down.

twice.
"Well Alan, it's burned down once, do you think we should, say fireproof it better this time?"
"Nah, Dave, it's not going ot happen again."

I got put in a mental hospital for 3 days against the will of me and my family when the assistant principal made up a rumor that I was going to blow up the school on 6/6/06.

Aside from that traumatic experience nothing happened.

Several fires (apparently), but there was never any noticeable damage to any of the areas I visited.
A kid hanged himself one time, because of this we studied 'the Pursuit of Happyness' instead of 'Romeo and Juliet' in English class so I guess that was a plus.
Penis drawn on the football oval in plant killer.
Several laptop explosions (everyone in our school was given a piece of shit laptop to use every 3 years)
A league of students clad in Guy Fawkes masks taping year 7s to poles.
A teacher beat the shit out of a student. I'm pretty sure everyone agreed that he deserved it, though.

Someone once broke into the Music Class-room in the middle of the night, breaking a window to get entry....never did figure out WHY someone would break into a music classroom but oh well.

We've had two big school shootings in the past here in Finland. I was still a student when these happened. Pretty soon after the latest one our school received a threat of a similar event as a note. Cops came to interrogate people and all that. I wasn't interrogated or anything, as I think this all happened within the upper comprehensive that's in the same building as my upper secondary used to be.

We had a chemical leak in the science labs once. They had to put everyone on a field and keep us there until it was safe to go in again. Took about half an hour before my friends and I realised we should definately climb over the fence and take the day off. So that's what we did. That was a good day.

Lets see massive fight, like 400 people between my school and one right next to ours the year before I started. We won, being the smaller school too.
Firebomb in a locker scorched one of the shop teachers. Same shop keeper cuts part of his finger off. Next year he has a heart attack and dies. Bad run of luck eh.
Few bomb threats and fire alarms pulled. During winter I was able to grab my coat afew times since my locker was on the way out.
Two kids fighting across the road in the "smoke pit" one pulls a knife and proceeds to get his skull bashed in.
Shooting nearby the school. 3 hour lock down.
Ohh and you know the glass on most of the doors, with the wire mesh inside. Some guy in frustration punches one, glass shatters and the wire and glass cut his thumb down to the bone. Saw him being brought down to the office.

Thats about all at my high school. Some pretty interesting things.
Is "smoke pit" from a movie? All of the smokers in my highschool went across the street to a "smoke pit" too. Not the same school cause there is no other school near it.

Because instruments are worth a lot of money. Although the school could easily just have stores monitor sales of various models of instruments and track the serial numbers so it would be hard for someone in high school to get away with it.
Did they actually take anything?

A man who had been injured and put in hospital escaped as he was going to go to jail. He was hiding in the general area of our school so we had police helicopters circling us all day.
