So rumor has it, MGS5 will be more about Big Boss's adventures. AWESOME.

I loved MGS3 - probably more than MGS4!!! The retro style was awesome, and there was less babbling about nanobots. The jungle game-play was also sweet. You were basically Rambo, stalking in the grass like a lion, just waiting for the right moment to jump out and choke a *****.

MGS4 is sweet, and I wasn't disappointed by any measure, but I can't wait for more of Big Boss's side of the MGS coin.

I wouldn't mind playing through some of Big Bosses other missions, sounds interesting.

But i'd think the title would be more like "Metal Gear Boss" or something.

No, they can keep the title because Snake was also Big Boss' code name (Forget if it was Naked Snake or Soild Snake, but Snake was named after Big Boss).

So, the name of the game would be "Metal Gear Naked"? Yeeaaaahhhhh, i don't think so.

For gods sake this is madness.

The ink on the MGS 4 reviews isn't even dry and people are talking about a sequel!?

Jesus wept.

Kojma is said to be working with Suda51 on a revival of the Snatcher franchise - that's a million times more exciting than YET ANOTHER Metal Gear game!

I could actually care less if Kojima was working on it. Not because I don't like him, but because he has left the series with so much cool game play basics that can be explored further. MGS4's gameplay was only the tip of the ice berg for me. I didn't get nearly enough time with the gameplay that was already there.

If they just kept the same mechanics, but put them in new levels and environments with new boss fights, I'd be more than happy.

I guess you didn't really enjoy the game play. I, personally, LOVED the game play. Actually, I could care less if it was even Metal Gear! The story is already wrapped, so if they just took the MGS game play engine and put a whole new IP around it, I'd check it out pronto!

MGS3 was definately my favorite of the series. But as long as they keep the whole "Military Action meets Weird Sci Fi" I'll be happy, Metal Gear doesn't need hard realism, we already have Splinter Cell for that.

Yeah, this is totaly uncommon. It's not similar to fans all over the world complaining about which characters should have been in Brawl instead in the FIRST WEEK of its release. It's totaly not similar to the possible GTA5 with a plane ticket for Nico to go to San Andreas on R*'s own site.

yes, it's totaly uncommon for an obvious new Metal Gear game that was actually discussed about BEFORE the game was actually released (a few days/weeks before i'm sure it happend)

I seem to have slipped into a strange alternate reality where the fact that this type of thing has become the norm is somehow a counter to my point...

Yes but if you were in an alternate reality your point wouldn't have a point...oh wait.

They were talking about a sequel to Bioshock a few weeks when it was out (or before it was out, forgot which), details of CoD6 are all ready possibly out. If you actually played through the whole game (assuming you didn't) then you would obviously know that there would still be some games in the series wether it be a spin-off or a prequel.

but whatever, i'd probably buy it.

I want Zone of the Enders 3 fuck any other game that he could possibly make right now.
Seconded! Now I'm a fan of MGS, but I think there's quite enough MGS titles on the market right now as it is. Put it down, let it go. They're awesome, but I want to see what else Kojima can come up with. Zone of the Enders was great, and his innovation to gaming is legendary.
