Guy stabbed 22 times after xbox live argument

I want to say I'm suprised about this...According to the local police they've never heard of anything like this happening before. I'm really not though.

It seems the two people have been fueding for a while and this was just the boiling point where someone who is clearly not mentally sound just snaps and tries to commit murder right there on the spot, even pushing the poor dudes mother out of the way so he can get to the stabbing. He also had a gun which barely missed it's shot.

What's weird to me is how he busts in with a knife and a gun. Almost like soemthing you would do in a regular Call of Duty game.

After watching the video, I found all the terrible puns and jokes more aggravating than the actual attacker, but still that guy is a dumbass.

I'm really not sure what to make of it. Clearly the attacker was mentally defective in some way, but I'm not sure what else there is to say. This kind of thing seems like it will start a "video games cause violence!" debate, which never ends well.

On one hand, he's 17 and just tried to kill someone.

On the other hand, he just tried to kill someone point blank with a gun and apparently totally failed, then resorted to using a knife and failed again, and all of this was over something said on xbox live. Doesn't really sound like an adult at all.

As you say, mentally defective. The mentality of the person is what goes wrong when these things happen. It's never the game and always the idiot, but video game violence debaters will always think it's the hardware instead of the soft head.
